i have one cowrie snail together with 3 clams inside my tank. So far the cowrie never disturb the clams. Are you sure that the death of the clam is cause by the cowrie snail?? or is the clam dead before the snail goes to the clam?

Norman

Is that the clam you got from CF?

IF it is then so sorry for your loss. Was a spectacular coloured clam.

Normally small cowrie will not give problem but if it the large beautiful tiger or arabian...they might attacked if they get too hungry :angry:

Found my arabian feeding on LPS once and remove it to another tank with only LR.

That's the one. :cry2::cry2:

Not sure what type, but is pretty big, bought from reborn long ago .

I am very sure is the snail, the clam was with me for quite some time and was doing well even the night b4. Lighting is no problem as I am using MH.

I was looking at the 2 giant clams at R***b*w when they start their 6feet tank.

1 week later I saw from the gaping hole of the clams 2 really tiny translucent cute lobster like shrimp making home in the clams.

The clams shrink and died and was removed from the tank.

Do watch out for that itsy bitsy monster.
