hi bros and sis, recently my tank has a lot of these slugs-look-alike tinggy...can sum1 pls help me to id it? is it reef safe? i realli haf a lot of trouble plucking dem out frm my tank one by one...n dey onli ###### out at nite...

They are more than reef-safe, they are reef-friendly and helps you control unwanted algae.

what are they exactly? I have some of these rather cute fellas in my tank also, hitch hiked from bro Yongshun's LR ^_^

Yes, Stomatella Varia. Bro Ambystoma's tank has lots also.

What's interesting about this species is that when attacked, it'll drop part of it's foot to confuse the attacker. The same strategy as a gecko's.
