will cycling processes accelerate if i were to introduce cultured bacteria? someone told me that the marc weiss coral vital is a good choice. pse advise...

technically yes. provided the cultured bacteria in a bottle works. some reefers have no response from such products. some do. like me. my freshwater one was cycled in four days because of me adding cultured bacteria.

not too sure if my marine tank will be successful too.

yes..i heard that 1 guy cycled his marine tank in 1 week but you got to be careful with the water readings. Any recommendations which cultured bacteria is good? what did u use for yr fresh water tank?

nutrafin cycle.

I just added a tinsy wheeny bit for my marine tank. screwing up on a 2ft freshwater is cheaper than screwing up on a 4ft marine.

i invested in a $38 bottle of beneficial bacterial 2 mths ago....... seems to hv work for me....... i would definitely recommend it.

I don't know I don't tend to rely too much on this. but the pressure my mum is putting on me to get the tank ready by X'mas. bleah. might have no choice.

the product's name is special blend....... sorry terryansimon, i juz run out wif mine too...... gotta go to petm*** one of these days and buy another bottle.......$38 is for the big bottle, for the smaller bottle i think is $25........ for the big bottle, i think should be able to last u a good 4 to 6 mths.....

no worries terryansimon!!! my ammonia and nitrite were zero after about less than a week....... nitrate was still very much left to desired.......
