will pm you on the price of the black tubing.

not OT. ==> night shift lol. now zombie zombie.... body aching also. later still have to rush to ubi to get my tank cover.

maybe drop by nearby lfs and get some additives. I am working today hor.

The Mp10 is really nice. strong enough to create a sandstorm in my tank.

I have not try the various modes yet.

Was worried it will be too strong in my nano but nah.... it can be used even on a much smaller tank.

hmm.... wonder how bad is the parameter in my tank... gotta do some test.

nice scaping dude! you better get yourself some coffee or redbull!! haha

haha what mode are you intending to use? I like using either lagoon or reef crest mode on my mp20. :)

btw u gonna dose any bacteria?

lol have not read up on the manual yet lol.

I like the random wave thingy - not sure if it is lagoon or reef crest.

I have 2 small monti frags that I need to place inside soon.

so most prob need to leverage on bac.

any reccommendations? which one should I get?

Thanks bro. The picture really doesn't do much justice to the 3 dimensionality.

I think we it is filled with corals, it should look quite nice.

Not going to add any rocks already.

I am "EATING" coffee powder already.... ... eyes still closing.....

both are random. Just trial and error and see which type of flow you prefer :)

hmmm can try prodibio, microbacter+vodka, or if you have $$, ask for Henry's secret. lol I'm using it with great success.

I will see what colour I like on the controller. LOL

The light indicator is cool.... very clever of them.

Side view.

Really good to put it in this orientation. Saves a lot of space.

only 2 - 3 inch space taken along the width of the tank.

1 packet of sand too little. 2 packet too much......

Need to get rid of some. Let me know if any of you need. FOC.

I need to remove about half a pack.

Qiang,

your sand is ready for collection :)

just drop me a note when you are coming over.

1 small pail full.

I am getting a monti cap frag next week. meanwhile I have done some read up regarding this species.

Here's some abstract from the various sources on the web.

==========================

The Monti Cap (montipora capricornis) is one of the mainstays of SPS coral found in reef aquariums. The swirling plates of the coral are unmistakeable, a familiar and appealing growth pattern. Monti Caps are easily fragged for propagation, with broken pieces readily encrusting and starting new growth. Proper flow is necessary for coral to achieve multiple layers characteristic of this morphology. Fast growers, these corals are highly recommended as first corals for new SPS reef tank hobbyists.

A wide range of light fixtures ranging from power compacts, VHO, T-5's, to the more intense metal halides can be used for Montipora corals. However, depending on your light fixture, you may need to alter their position in the aquarium to best develop color and form. In an aquarium lit by metal halides, Montipora Corals should be kept in a mid to low position and under other lighting they should be kept in a mid to high position. To bring out the most intense coloration of this coral, we recommend metal halide lighting. For continued good health, they will require the addition of a two part calcium and buffer supplement to maintain a calcium level of 400-450 ppm and dKH of 8-12. They will benefit from the addition of zooplankton.

Quick Stats

Water conditions: 72-78° F, dKH 8-12, pH 8.1-8.4, sg 1.023-1.025

Lighting : Moderate

WaterFlow: Medium

Supplements: Calcium, Strontium, Iodine, Trace Elements
