couldnt agree more, thats why we need a double safety most of the time to be good. like 2 return pump, using chiller to lower temperature and controller to shut off non-important equipments when temperature go wrong.

hey Law, do u think this will work? if water reach 30degree, controller will shut off skimmer, lights, FR, 2nd return pump and activate fan to cool on the water surface for a 4 footer? any idea where to get hold of such controller? tks

yeap will work, think is ur lights that cook your tank. like what bluesotong suggester, you can call chilldown or simply DIY it yourself. can get it quite affordable at simlim tower.

and btw, aquarium computer is recommended if you want to shut off/ turn on more things when things go wrong.

for example: if temperature goes abover certain level, lights and non-essential equipment off or sub chiller/fan turn on, alarm buzzer on.

with those computer, you can set it that way.

actually i wonder is it good or is there anyway we can use 2 of this temp controller to safeguard our tank? sorry for this really dumb question as i am not an electrican but contemplating of hooking my ghl and this fox thingy soon.

2 temp controllers in serial for lower limit control is not wise.
