anyone using it and know how to use pls help

As i don't understand the step 6

( Hold the syringe with the tip facing upward and read the position of the, now the upper end, of the black part of the piston, the syringe has graduations of 0.01ml. Read the calcium value from the table or the calculate as follow

ppm Ca = (1 - reading in step 6) x 500

u see this's what i read from the paper but i don't understand

from the syringe, u drip into the test water until the colour turn blue right? look at the remaining solution in the syringe by looking at the reading.... from there u get the reading n compare it to the table in the instruction. for example if 0.20ml is left then look at the table for 0.2....it that easy.

Hi, it is just the normal way reading syringe.. tip facing up and record down the reading.. also avoid from solution dripped...

Just note now the reading on "black part of the piston" which your test outcome turn to clear blue from pink red. for instance pic illustrated below"

0.1ml remain on the 1ml syringe.

add into your ppm ca formula

ppm ca = (1 - 0.1) x 500

ppm ca = (0.9) x 500

ppm ca = 450

if your step one using 1ml instead of 2ml.. Then you need multiple by 2

ppm Ca = (1 - reading in step 6) x 500 x 2

Cheers

my ca level is 470-500 is it ok

Looks good.. natural sea water ~420mg/l. but do you swirl you solution when drip 1ml ca3? if yes then is ok.. Probably check your KH as well.. if both suggested positive result.. then is good. Cheers

what are the side effects if the Ca reading is beyond 500? I measured twice so far.. all above 500. :heh:

1. Check your KH (probably KH at low side), if ok move to step 2

2. Check your salinity (probably SG too high >1.030), if still ok.. then step 3

3. Check your test kit calibrate with someone else test kit...

If everything ok, then just carry on as normal.. just slow down calcium dosing for the moment...and routine WC as usual..

Cheers..
