Since we are here. Are there such things as between Marine test kits and Freshwater test kits? I have some KH test kits for my planted tanks......

Thanks.

Hi Rogerwee,

Thanks for the pictures. Nice tank. Next time, take some pictures when you need ID help.

Before dosing anything, read up or ask experience reefers. incorrect dosing can cause havoc.

You can also consider ready solutions that specifically marketed to increase coralline algae growth like Purple Up.

saltwater test KH.

Nono....

GH is general hardness, it consist of a few trace elements.

KH is carbon hardness, it buffers the pH.

Anyway, I already bought a KH test kit from Seaview, a pity T95 close so early (I went from work about 7pm reach there).

wow... think still long long way for me to go to learn more about keeping marine tank... to be frank, so far i concentrate mostly on PH, NO2, NO3 and Ammonia only.. of cos i hear of Mg, calcium and hardness of the water but did not really look into it for i feel those which i had mentioned earlier is more critical.. guess today i learn somemore new things, thanks to all the teachers here. Anyway guess i would purchase the CA and KH test kit to see what actually go wrong. :)
