J_Vansen_S
hi guys, Is it ok to use rain water instead of RO/DI for salt mix water change?
Gouldian
There used to be a reefer who have used rain water before. He was able to do so as he collecting them on a open patch in front of his house. He only collect rainwater in the middle of a heavy downpour and was able to get TDS ranging from 6-12. Rainwater that were collected on the initial downpour is usually higher in TDS as it cleans the air. But do know rainwater will have lower pH. Hope that helps. SRC Member albinosage Posted July 1, 2010 SRC Member Share Posted July 1, 2010 I think a TDS of 6 to 12 is tolerable if not, good. If I recall correctly, you're from Brunei right? Your air should be cleaner there, so I think the rainwater collected should be cleaner too lol.
