Help - Filter sock

Hi all,

I have a question. Can i hang my filter sock submersible in the water? I'm taking the filter sock inflow from the chiller return pipe. The reason i am doing so is i do not have an external sump, but a restrain internal built-in sump.

Filter sock should be placed at the overflow into your sump. Since you have an IOS, I can see that it'll be difficult to fit a round sock into a square hole. But still possible if you can manage to re-stitch the sock material onto a square or rectangular frame.

Having unfiltered water going thru' chiller will probably lead to its lost of cooling efficiency later.
