Hi all,

Would like your opinions regarding lighting for my tank.

Is 2xMH 150w supplement with t5 light sufficient to keep sps?

I've asked some bros and they said if the sps are on the higher part of the tank it is adequate.

Thanks for the help!

2 x 150w mh is sufficient for keeping SPS, just place then on the top potion of your tank. =)

MH is power hungry. Have you considered LED instead?

Hi,

I hear that led coverage are not as good as mh right?

If let's say I go into led, what is the recommended wattage and how much would it be for my tank?

It's about 3 by 2.5 by 2 feet tank. In fact tehe length is slightly more than 3feet.

Thanks!

Hi my tank size is abt 100cm by 75cm by 60cm. So yup it's a normal two feet depth.

The lights are abt 13cm away from the surface of the water.

Thanks!

Should be okay. I've seen people raising SPS using T5 with the corals about 8 inches from the light.
