joby553
Here's my parameters I just did. Is it good enough for sps? I would like to try a few more frags. joby553
Pic of my sump Please ignore the messy wires. Gonna do up some piping then run everything on 2 pumps. Also going to add an ats for extra extraction of nutrients. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Idil Stephanie
I like your rock scape. And it's a really neat setup. Just a word of advice tho. That tang can grow to be a bit too big for your tank.

As for rockscape, the next time or escape I will remove half the sand, and lift up all the rocks. So underneath will have flow. Admiraltian
How u measure ur dkh and KH? Dkh = degree of carbonate hardness, alkinality and KH are the same, dkh is the unit used for KH. Other unit used is meq/l which can be converted to dkh by multiply it with 2.8. Admiraltian
How come u get different reading? Anyway 13dkh is too way high. 10.5 is also on the high side, 7-11dkh is acceptable but most reefers keep btwn 8-10dkh. tang_sohal
Im a tang lover myself.. this hobby is reallly addictive.. i upgraded my tank twice. Now its ok. When it gets bigger, then probably relcoate him or upgrade to a bigger tank. But be careful when getting new tang from lfs.. most of the time. They are infected with ich though not visible to the eye. I usually quarantine them.
tang_sohal
That was before i found out about src. Now i usually get my corals or tangs from fellow reefer whose livestocks are much more stable.
Idil Stephanie
If you are going to remove half the sand, it could cause a mini cycle.
joby553
Yeah it's a gift from my colleagues so I cannot get from forum. And my qt is way to small for this fish. So no choice had to take a gamble. As for the mini cycle bro, no worries not so soon. I think I want rescape probably 6 months time or one year. A. Quarium
Nice scape! I too believe that the corals in the 5th and 6th pic are zoas. Really like your tang, and as I'm quite sure has been mentioned, it may outgrow your tank, especially if you want to add more fish.
Idil Stephanie
Till that day comes, don't worry too much about it. So what's your plan now? I'm sure you must be excited to add more life and colours to your tank.

joby553
Need to diy a acrylic plate to set up my dosing pump, also want to get rid of all the pumps just use 2 pumps in the sump. Set up a ATS Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Idil Stephanie
Y dont you run Chaeto for the time being, so you can take your time to DIY an ATS, and as for the acrylic plate, is it just to support your dosing pump? if it is then y not check out daiso or ikea, could save you some time even some money. My sump got no compartment so I don't want to put chaeto(planning hob refugium later on). ATS already bought just need to hook it up when it's not so cluttered. Yeah, think weekend will go daisi and ikea for a walk first. Thanks adywestpark!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
