Do we really need the MCB for MH installation? I'm getting the Hi**x brand with casing & using TheB*n timer for both the MH & atinic blue tube.....can or not.

BTW mine in 2x150w MH.....how?

Use the circuit with contactor if the total current for MCB 1 & 2 exceeds the current rating of the timer. There shall be a main MCB for the incoming, preferably with 30milli-Amp RCCB/ELCB in tandem.

2x150W = 300 x 1.8(losses) = 540W

Rated Current = 540W/230V = 2.3A

Use a 10A MCB

Can still connect a chiller of not more than 4.5amps rated current or 1.2kW without tripping.
