Here is my experince with FLame Angel on LPS, this fella never pecking on any of my coral on my old tank (the broken one) since he found lot's of algae to eat on the back glass and on the LR. When I put this fella back into my new tank which has no algae at all he starts pecking on my prata and othe meaty corals, I found he did this when he can't find algae or any kind of food that he can peack on it. To reduce this occcurance I bought New Life wafer that will disolve within 24 hours, I found it works this fella stop pecking my meaty corals and shift her interest to the wafer. Now the algae starts growing in my tank and seldom she her pecking on my corals again. Flame Angel is very adorable fish.

TDS - on salt water will never reach 0 reading due to salt content and other minerals - TDS reading 0 only for DI or distilled water which has no trace on minerals.

Congratulation bro.... Just to share my experience change the activated carbon media to Aqupharm or Rowa, the one in the kit is very lousy. Also for ceramic ring, I regret it I didn't change it to bio home. Once you dump this ceramic ring it will be very difficult to take out. I try it once but I got lots of ceramic splinters into my fingers and couple cuts.

Sorry for delay was very busy for past 3 days...here is the FTS, my clams still sick and one prata still sick due insuffient light for almost 2 weeks. Added 2 corals 1 SPS and one open brain that the shape look like cow's dung.

Did you use timer for you main light? I had experience before with my NC24 prata bleached because I was away for 1 week and forgotten to set the main light timer. So light off for duration 1 week, prata bleached badly takes about 3 months to get the color back.

I can feel your feeling bro...tank broken, lost LS, flooded house, and cleaning the mess it's really unimagineable. I experience it myself first hand when my tank broke.

Did you feed frozen food? Especially Henry's reef food before? If yes that's normal it will back to normal within 1 or 2 days.....

I am not sure but the in the bottle is mentioned it needs good skimmer to make this thing work. I think one of NC 24 owner did it without skimmer, but I can't remember his nick.

Based on my short 4 months plus experience before the tank broke, the light is definitely enough for SPS and Clams. Tried to keep SPS also but I put right t the top about 2 cm from water surface it's seems okay.....tried to put more SPS then the tank broke. I always home late these couple days, I will take FTS if the main light still on (off at 19:30)........and it just 2 days after I put back my LS, with the loses, I felt that my tank is so empty now.

if I wanted to upgrade I will done it 2 weeks ago liao....... I still like RSM look and it's still perfect for my living room.

It was me trying to do crude DIY :paiseh: I modify my FR to accommodate all dosing ports and supply to denitrator. I was thinking to use CR but no way i can house it the cabinet and my CO instruct me not put any equipment beyond cabinet interior I use Aquapharm, because I got lots of it. Today marking 11 days of cycling and parameters are good: NO : 0 PPM NO2: 0 PPM NO3: 5 PPM Ca : 440 PPM Mg : 1140 PPM Den : 1.025 pH : 8.8 (light off) Decided going to collect my LS today since the death toll still raising (lost my leopard wrasse & clams dying due not enough light) and put it back to the tank. I did total overhaul of my cabinet by installing Deltec NFP509 (bought 2ndhand) and Aquatronica dosing pump for balling way and relief me from dosing ritual and one pump to feed alcohol to my Deltec. Just found some down side of of Aquatronica dosing pump, it doesn't interact with the sensors plugged in power bar. To control dosing pump the sensor and interface needs to be plugged to dosing pump. Another problem is the liquid mix that I use is not homogenous so some part will settle after couple hours. Anyone know how to reduce this problem?

AZNO3 definetely work for me. If you got your resun skimmer I think you can starts using AZNO3.

Cavitation sound lor...start all over again skimmer release tons of micro bubble to the tank and it sucked to the chiller and it create cavitation inside it due to return line pressure, I guess.

Sorry mine was reef substrate not reef sand....the cloudiness is gone this morning but still found some small pieces plastic trapped in my floos filter.

Jervis since you are long term this live sand user, did you find the skimate is like calcium (greyish) powder? I dump 2 bags live sand from AM and my RSM skimmer when crazy in minutes and water turn cloudy and I found that this live sand is not clean I found lots pieces of plastic inside it and sucked to my sump.

I am still using standard lighting 2 x 55w PL, they guy who cracke his RSM in states modified the lighting into Mh. If I can prove there is defect inherint from the product I can ask them to pay all the other damages but too bad this is difficult to do matter. I heard from LFS tank maker that curved corner tank has bigger chance to crack compared to custom made tank with silicon joint. The silicon joint is flexible to accomodate glass expansion/contraction.
