  1. Hi HM, what's that syringe for at the top of the zeovit reactor? And yah that blue pink tip millie is nice.
  2. Hi guys, what's the best zeovit additives in your opinion is the best for colour boost?
  3. Thanks HM. I've PM'ed Joe already. I'm trying to see if I can get a off the shelf unit. Or maybe I can use my old Eheim cannister filter with the top off and just add in a small pump at the intake tube. I read somewhere there's a nano HOB reactor currently being designed but not sure when will it be available.
  4. Anyone come across a nano zeovit reactor? Probably one that can handle 500ml of the stones.
  5. Just to add, I do sometimes switch to Reef Crest mode for a few days and sometime Lagoon mode for a few days. I think my corals love that random flow.
  6. I'm using the Nutrient Transport Mode at 75%. I set my wave frequency using the pulse mode first. I feel that using the NTM at 75% speed moves much more water than the reef crest mode at 100%.
  7. If its on the glass wall, yah, you can use credit card to scrape it off. Make sure its expired though.
  8. Whatever you do, and how wrong you dad is, please do show your utmost respect to him. He loves you and he's the reason you have that tank. The fish don't. It's a great hobby and to share it with daddy is priceless dude. I don't have anyone living under the same roof who gives a hoot about my tank. I only have you guys. So cheers dude, look at the bright side of life....
  9. Are you using the ES version or the older one?
  10. 5 years and the water never evaporate?
  11. I went on a 5 days vacation leaving the tank alone. I only had my helper feed the fish everyday. Did not even shake the zeolites. Came back and continue dosing as per normal. I did not see any negative impact on my tank at all. In fact my sand looks cleaner. I think as long as you can find a way to maintain your alk, calcium and magnesium at a stable level while you are away, I think it will be fine.
  12. What happened bro collapsed? Any casualties. Your purple firefish looks pissed.
  13. Omar, you can get those tubing from Nature's Aquarium at Balestier. Those black co2 tubing.

    Thank you Ray! Sure helps.
  15. Well I read somewhere that this is done weekly in order to dissolve any salt particles or dust that may have accumulated in the air inlet. It works for me.

Oh, so they really individual animals? Like brothers ah? So what about blasto? Or duncans? If I feed one head, will the other head get a share of the food?
  17. I turn off my skimmer for 1 hr every 1 or 2 weeks. Seems to skim better after i turn it on back.

Hello, I'm new too. Yes between 2 zoa polpys they are connected via their 'mat' which is a layer of thin 'skin' coating the rocks.
  19. Chill bro lemon, Chill... Anyway, what about brine shrimp soak with garlic? Good enough or still rubbish?
  20. You can use those measuring cups they use for baking to measure the exact amount. They flow for yours should be ok. And as recommended by HM , try to run the pumps on a 3hr on/3hr off/3hr on interval for the 1st few weeks. And make sure the stones remain submerge in water when the pump is off. HM, have you start dosing supplements yet? I just did the 3rd zeolites exchange and just started dosing Coral Vitaliser for a week now. This thing really rocks. Can see my corals loving it.
  21. I think for 550l, it would be safe to use 1.25ml of the zeolites. It will do harm if you use too much or you have too much flow in the reactor as it may shock the corals. You really have to go slow with zeovit.
  22. Congrats bro. It took me 3 weeks of daily dosing of zeobac and Coral Snow before seeing results. How's your other zeovit dosing? Seeing results yet?
  23. My view...... its a tiny pump in a tiny mug, of course it going to be hot. There's no where the heat can go. Try a big pail or a bathtub. But you found the solution already, so
