  1. sigh. I wonder when will I even get to see such cameras in Australia.
  2. nano reef? urh. things are REALLY expensive here. by really I mean perversely expensive. factor in stuff like the conversion rate, and it's almost asking for arm and leg when keeping marine over here in Australia.
  3. nearer to the west? try coralfarm. sure have. wait. is coral farm still around? a bit rusty with shops and its operational status.
  4. do you have any other fishes in there that are boisterous? and yes, do try the red bamboo algae. I managed to lure all my shy tangs out to eat with the bamboo. (=
  5. woah. all from WA. I wonder if anybody here is from VIC. I miss looking at fishes over here, and the only fish I saw are the goldfishes at Queen Vic Market, and my friend's two black goldfish.
  6. no need air con here. room with heater on is already 22 degs.
  7. so pink! nothing too shocking I suppose? as in, shocking pink type of shocking. I may find pink an acceptable colour, but when it crosses the border of shocking pink, it turns me off faster than Macy Gray *sorry. some bloke down the hall is playing his playlist rather loudly*
  8. yeap they've got nice specimens of creatures, big and small, down here. the thing is, the price tag attached to it is rather nice as well. and it doesn't help that our dollar is weaker against the aussie dollar as well. but I may, just MAY, adopt a cat from the local RSPCA. (= dogs bark and may attract the attention of my neighbours, who may complain to my landlord, since I'm not allowed to keep any type of pets in the new place I'm moving to. so cats are nice because they don't bark, and I can let them run outside my yard without worrying about them digging a hole through the fence. and the fence is horribly high. taller than my 6' 6 friend. *gulps* like prison.
  9. sorry lah. me in Australia, everything also outdated mah. you can find food that has been expired for two years on the shelves in the local supermarkets here. that's how outdated we are over here. (=
  10. hmm? re-scape? sorry...not been here a long time. this forum is very bandwidth intensive. stupid internet quota. that being said, I'd like to see the end-result of the re-scape once you get all your rocks together *gee that sounds. funny.* (=
  11. I recall keeping a mated pair of banded coral shrimp in my tank, and I never had any significant problems. in fact, they stayed at the back of the tank most of the time. irritating.
  12. I wish I could adopt the cats from you. unfortunately, I doubt I'd want the cats to go through quarantine in Singapore and over here in Melbourne. one month in SG and one month in Vic. not something I'd like, let alone the poor kitties. anyway, good luck to your adoption. I'm sure such beautiful creatures will find their way into the homes and hearts of a deserving person. (=
  13. my exams? heh. let's just say they're ALL BACK TO BACK! wah lau. all at the Caulfield race course, which isn't anywhere near my campus. thank goodness I bought a car. (= anyway, you coming down to Melbourne anytime soon for your final module or something? do let me know. and bring photos of your tanks. feeling quite deprieved. the closest I've seen to fishes in Melbourne is the fish stall at Queen Victoria Market and the funny creatures they have there. I'm really tempted to buy a goldfish for myself, although I think I'll probably need to buy a heater for it, seeing how it's winter now and the ambient temperatures average about 7 degrees for now. and it's not even the dead of winter yet. oh well.
  14. pink room! reminds me of my friend's room over here. top to bottom pink. hell she even bought pink carpets to cover the original carpets. oh well.
  15. wah... it's been a while since I saw this tank. or any other tanks in SRC. I'm wasting precious Monash bandwidth on your page leh. hows the tank setup and everything of late? I hope you can tahan until the end of June or something. (=
  16. I hope they do something like what we have over here in Melbourne. Crown Casino. muaahaha.
  17. speaking of culture, I love the Australian's culture! or lack off, in certain cases. damn slack ah!
  18. pardon me for asking, but what are the blue stickers there for? and that's a very neat sump cabinet.
  19. I dunno I don't find it cold. other people find it cold. I guess in winter, it can't beat the english winter in terms of bitterness. although I do hate the rain and the wind. plus wind chill factoring, it just makes everything a bit more miserable. and no, no aussie chicks sighted yet. so don't ask.
  20. this is a rare time that I get to use the computer. I will be brief. MElbourne is not that cold. but sometimes, the wind gets really cold and all. alright, I'll come back soon to post some pictures.
  21. no I'm checking in early as I heard they are more lenient with excess baggage. I can choose my favourite, emergency exit seat as well.
  22. I know it's 2 hours now, but can you go at like........3 hours before? question directed in direction of Qantas flights.
  23. coraline algae grew all over my tank, even though the UV light was on for 24/7 (=
  24. they should have the ability to detect falling rocks should it fall on them. but some fishes are dumb. they will swim into the rocks and if you happen to take the rock out, they'll be. more than glad to follow the rock out with it.
