  1. nano tanks have always been discouraged due to the small margins allowable for mistakes and the troubles with maintenance. for those having a nano tank (i.e. 30g and below), why not show us the pictures of your tanks?????
  2. of course it leaves its anemone but only under 2 occassions: i)quickly grab the flakes and ii)to attack the yellow tail damsel when it gets too close to its host anemone... it spends like 23hr and 55min at the anemone a day.....
  3. i understand clown and anemone has symbiotic relationship. BUT if fish refuses to leave the anemone alone, is it a normal sign???
  4. temp about 26-27deg most ideal for anemones. all water parameters must be very ideal for anemone to thrive and you may like to check out anemone fishes (include clowns, damsels, etc) and some crabs loves anemones. i'll leave it to the more experienced to contribute.....
  5. caught 3 of my damsels... anyone want them all for free????? 3dots domino (1"), 3stripes (3/4"), blue devil (1"+). collect at lavender...
  6. hehehe...lfs said that no use caging them for a day or two...may as well catch them forever and lock them up forever..kekekekek..only that is a sure way of forbidding damsels to attack the other fishes!
  7. wow...fantastic idea...kekekkekee....
  8. know any possible stuff "spawning" like that?
  9. i have a some green polps for almost a week now.... for the past two days i notice that it has been emitting some air/small particles out at times... my clown would go near and sniff it for while when it happens. no livestock has died due to the "smoke". would like to find out from you guys if u know if it's common?
  10. such angels..... any puppy for adoption??? heee....
  11. i've found an idea to tame the shrewwwwwwws in my tank, you may like to consider it and give me your comments... as my uncle's tank is yet to complete the cycle, i have asked my cousin to bring over the last survivor - a common clown of about 3 inches..... (ok ok, i know he shouldn't add any livestocks into the tank when it's still cycling. but the harm has already been done and the other fishes have died except for this sole survivor). so i asked if i can help to house it in my tank for the time being. as my four shrews are between 3/4" to 1 1/4" this 3" clown looks like a monster among them. immediately they are tamed and left my poor bicolour alone... my bicolour still alive but scared out of its wits and hiding under my oyster shell almost all the time. forgot that it's a shy one and it's my negligence to place them in an aggressive tank like mine. perhaps whoever needs help can try to place a monster fish into your tank to tame your damsels for a few days after your newbie is being introed. this may spare the newbie from being hurt by the damsels....
  12. den perhaps i should be the damsel queen and study everything about damsel....idea idea....
  13. dunoe if my luo han wants it or not....? kekekekekekeke...
  14. no sump.... definitely kill the fish if u put it there....
  15. interested in leather coral.... but approxmately how big is it???
  16. honestly i DID try to reshuffle the rocks a little when the newbie is introed into tank, hoping to confuse them a little...keekkeek... BUT they are too clever... after hiding away from sight while i was relocating the rocks they emerged and starting darting at the new fish again!!! well.... lucky my bicolour pseudochromis fake dead and just hide between an empty turbo shell and some live rocks and escaped death..... if my damers, opps!, damsels decided to leave it alone after 2 days (that is, if my bicolour is still alive!!!!) den i would just let nature takes its course. otherwise, might consider setting up another tub for the damsels. well, at least put them in the tub for 2 hours or so just to "tame" them a little *keep my fingers crossed!!!!!!!
  17. have u tried friend damsels or damsel sushi before??
  18. hi.. i need some help i understand that damsels are superrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr (with a capital 'S') territorial but i have problem introducing new fish to my tank!!!!! anyone has the experience of taming their damsels? my 4 damsels are pretty determined to kill all new fish that is introed to the tank. i have difficulties handling them yet not willing to resort to kill them. pleAse heLp!!!!~~~~~~
