Add algae??!!! how do you do that??? btw you can add LS now. it will help to buffer the water and the microbacteria deep inside LS can help to speed up your cycling process.

the type of light you should use should depend on your tank dimensions. you would not want a deep dark blue for a low lying 2ft tank would you?

I am also intending to do that but are you sure it is safe? I mean will the mushroom die? and how do you attach them to another rock? epoxy? -
I would NOT recommend you put them into your tank unless you have checked out what it is and done some research on it. Btw those bait worms usually do not last long in home aquaria.
