Yes. totally agree. I learnt through the hard way too. I think we shld try to push this site to pple new to this hobby. So that they wont get into corals that are not suitable and waste money. But i think a few LFS here will not be too happy eh..

i saw argonite being sold in a LFS here. It looks finer than #1 but very expensive.

what abt argonite sand? are they fine enough?

Just curious, Why do u need another box on the outside of the tank? I thought the u shaped tube can suck all the water from the internal box all the way into the sump below? Thanks.

There was a documentary on blue-ring octopus on discovery channel. They look beautiful but one bite u are gonna be dead in minutes. So please dont get this creature. Extreme high risk to urself.

I think that would be better. But careful of them either getting stuck in the pump or blown away. They used to sell these blue coloured jelly fishes but not anymore.

Er...would suggest that u avoid jellyfish unless u are an expert already. Made the mistake of getting jellyfish before. Died after a week from either getting stuck in the water pump, pecked by fishes or stuck in some rocks. Havent seen any LFS selling jelly fish for a long while already.

Hi B|uEc@rpEt, Saw a white prata at one LFS yesterday. The guy insisted it was not bleached and still selling it. Even said some pple like it white.

Hi Limpc, i am in the same situation as u. I have tried using the H&S denitrator using sulphur and sand. Unfortunately, the nitrate level coming out of the denitrator is still sky high. Have decided to get a sump and use either DSB or ecosystem in the sump. I have not tried denitrators that comes with bacteria.

I asked cause u can get the aqualine one in Singapore.

i think u shld order more stuff to lower ur shipping cost per unit. It doesnt make sense that the shipping is more expensive than the item.
