  1. Due to overwhelming response, pls note this is only while stocks last. Tks.
  2. Hello everyone. I've got some chaeto which i've just harvested for sale. Good for refugiums. Chaeto mother lobe was specially hand-carried over from the US 2 years ago, has been with me ever since and is very stable. Pricing will be $4 per small tub (standard soybean curd size tub), 3 for $10. Cash and carry at my place, which is walking distance from Yew Tee MRT. All proceeds will go towards my favourite charity for kids, World Vision. Tks. If you're interested, pls sms calvin at 96880195.
  3. depends on the size of cabinet what type of chiller you run as well. I have a small 2.5 ft x 2.5 ft x 4 ft high cabinet. Even with 2 x fans and 5 holes at the side, chiller has to work non stop.
  4. nice one. too bad it's injured and a bit touch and go. perhaps u might want to try nursing it back to health before selling again.
  5. if you place chiller in cabinet, got to make sure ventilation in the cabinet is good enough else chiller cannot work effectively.
  6. I just went for ICT at ALTC (Army Logistics) last month. They used to ban camera phones but now allow them as every new handphone model these days have a camera and they given up trying to enforce it as it will be a huge admin headache. So rather than control it, it's now allowed. Anyway, nothing confidential about ALTC anyway.
  7. hi there, wanting to buy a calcium reactor. Currently using a macro one but the part where the water input comes in was broken accidentally. Won't mind getting another macro if price is right. Wouldn't mind a better quality one but footprint must be small like the macro as I've got no space! If you have any suitable calcium reactor for sale, please sms me 9688019-five. Thanks. Cal
  8. what i understand is that this only happens overseas. first time i heard this happen in SG.
  9. what kind of algae you trying to grow? Not all types can grow fast. Post a pic if you can.
  10. it's cyno alright. Can try to improve your water quality, while using this product called "Red Slime remover" available at Marine Life.
  11. marcroalgae is not easy to keep as it seems. those that I buy from LFS never survive more than a month, even with miracle mud, 24/7 lighting, pruning, dosing of plant iron and trace elements, etc. Best results I used to have are some frags of macroalgae from Marine LIfe LFS. Can survive for months with regular weekly pruning. Now using chaetomorpha which I hand-carried from the US and am very happy. Nitrates are zero
  12. the fish and coral will be ok as there is no 'earthing' to complete the electrical 'circuit' for the electrical current to travel. Just like the bird standing on the power line.
  13. the gametes released can die off, causing oxygen depletion and crashing your tank.
