I had this same problem when my tank supplier gave me the "standard" size durso pipe. But realised that no matter how I tuned it, the noise was still there. So I made a bigger durso myself and that solved the problem. What sized durso do you have now and what size outlet pipe are you using ?

According to Fish-Street.com, they initial batch of Pre-Orders arrived and were shipped out. If you order by tomorrow, you can get it by June 5th. Waiting period of two weeks. Not sure when the local stock is arriving though.

Guys, Am trying to build my own LED lights and so far I have been able to figure out the following: 1. LED's - Can obtain from Aquastyle, ledgroupbuy, dealsxtreme etc. Easy enough. 2. Heatsink - Recommendations seem to be to get it from kelantan lane. Getting large enough pieces shipped is costly. 3. Driver ?? - This is where I get stuck. Does anyone know where to get reasonably priced LED Constant Current drivers ( at least 1.5A to drive the Cree XM-L ) without huge shipping charges? Example would be Mean Well LPC-60-1750. thanks in advance

My vote goes to LED for all the reasons mentioned in the previous thread. But one real issue is the spread of the lighting. To get a wider spread you can change the optics but then you lose on the intensity. Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk

Bro, with the top of the tank fully covered. Is there enough space for the heat from the lights to escape ?

As mentioned, the choice of lights would probably impact the choice of Chiller. If you are going for MH, then the Chiller might struggle to keep up.
