  1. After using RO/DI, no regrets. Should have started with it all along. My waste water goes into the koi pond. So no waste water at all.
  2. Anyone? Price negotiatiable. Just want to clear it asap.
  3. Selling my Coral Lab CR due to upgrading. Have been using it for about 1.5 years and have been serving me well so far. Selling it complete with the Eheim pump. The CR is good for about 6kg of media and good for 2-4ft mix LPS, SPS tank. Intend to sell for S$350 negotiable. Thanks
  4. Alfa, What is the reason that you changed from MH to T5?
  5. Is there any picture on the ATI T5 fixture? Where can I find it? Thanks bro.
  6. Bro, I'm interested to know how the ATI compare to Aqualight too.
  7. If this is an empty tank, just fill it up with water, and pour 1 bottle of vinegar into the water. Let it sit over night. All your white stain will be gone the next day. I believe these white stain are actually calcium deposit.
  8. My leather can stand 250w MH. So should not be a problem.
  9. Could you share what is your bad experience with coralife?
  10. I don't know what is this as well. Long time ago, I bought about 15 of them at one go, they were all very eager to feed on mysis, but I notice that the ones who eat end up dying the next day. In the end, all of them up lorry. My only conclusion was that they were cynide caught, and the internal organ has been damaged so they could not process food. Hope you don't have similar problem.
  11. Your tank is 3 weeks old? I think your tank is too young and not stable yet. Better wait for a few more weeks as shrimps are very sensitive. Also, like the other bros mentioned, shrimps being an invertibrate is very sensitive to salinity shock. The longer you can acclimitize the shrimp the better. It is best to put it on drip for several hours before releasing to the tank.
  12. Seems like a lot of people use coralife for SPS. wow... If it works, it save 3 times the money as it is 3 times cheaper than Tropic Marine.
  13. Nivlahog, Can you share with us how you tune it now and what is the result? My personal opinion is that turning up the air flow is not going to help. My experience with beckett is that they tend to produce dry skimmate than wet because of the high suction of air, and the air dries up the skimmate very quickly. So the skimmate has a tendency to dry up on the wall than in the collection cup. Turning up the air would probably makes it worse. You can imagine blowing a fan at the skimmate....what is the result. So I think the trick is to turn the air low enough, that it generates consistent fine bubble. Not necessary the quantity of bubble. Correct me if I'm wrong.
  14. Check valve can get clog during the most needed time. It should be treated as a precautionary measure and I won't trust my life on a check valve.
  15. Qxnviolet, Do you have problem when you feed the sun coral, the fishes keep coming to steal the food? Some of them literally rip the food off the mouth of the sun.
