  1. Probably the last to introduce before my blue tang if I were to go for it. Need to let the less aggresive ones establish their terrority first.
  2. Yeah. To the stage I dont think anyone can intervene. Seeing such lengthly response from everyone and he still doesnt wake up! Plain silly. Got too much $$$ dont know how to spend it wisely. Its not just about $$$ here but also being responsible! Just like another James72 if I didnt remember wrongly.
  3. Hi Terry. Thx. Saw that it has nice bright pink colouration. Is it very territorial and fierce? Have you or anyone kept them with peaceful gobies?
  4. Ya Flame Angel is not 100% reef safe and I am not willing to take any risk. Any other good nice fishes to recommend?
  5. Sorry for causing a stare there. Wrong shrimp Its not boxer but Tiger Pistol to pair with my 2 spotted goby.
  6. That has always been on mine mind as well. Was waiting for the possibility of the Royal Gamma but unfortunately that did not materialise. Was looking at all the options I can possibly have. Limited space availability so got to be extra cautious. Left out 1 most important criteria for selection is that it must be 100% reef safe.
  7. I have a 2.5ft by 1.5ft by 1.5ft approx (30gallon) tank with the following. Ultimate aim is to keep 1 small blue tang when my tank is more mature. In the mean time I think I can keep another 2-3 small fishes (dont grow too big kind) before getting a small blue tang. Preference is bright stricking nice coloured ones and pricing less than $30 each. Also prefer middle water swimmer cause I already have alot crawling on the sandbed. Damsels, Lions, eels and other predatory or highly territoral fishes will not be considered. Anthias is out as well given that I cannot accomodate a school of them. Anyone has any good recommendations to share? 15KG LR 1 * Cleaner Shrimp 2 * Fire Shrimps 2 * ###### Shrimps 1 * Boxer Shrimp 1 * 2 Spotted Goby 1 * Scooter blenny 1 * Purple Fire Goby 2 * True Perc Clown fish
  8. Wow 2 weeks! That was long. So am I overly concerned here? I am thinking like 2-3 days and was already damn worried. Wait come back all die on me. I do not have auto water top up because I do not have a sump and there salinity was surely spike up due to evaporation. This is a major consideration for me as well. If left alone for 2 weeks surely all LS will say sayo nara to me.
  9. I think you must invest in a good skimmer to feed 5 times a day etc. This will avoid contaminating your water conditions. Otherwise you get algae bloom etc which will be traumatic or worse still loss of LS due to water parameters. Probably how much you feed each meal will play a part as well. I used to feed 2-3 times a day but have cut back to 1-2 times to fight algae bloom.
  10. Consolidation is that it is still feeding which means it still has a chance. Just like humans we lose our appetite when we are not well. Sincerely Hope that it will recover soon and enjoy its stay in ur tank! Keep us posted. I believe many are following its progress
  11. I was just wondering how long can we leave fishes without food. Assumption will be based on my current environment with 2.5ft by 1.5ft by 1.5ft tank 15KG LR 1 * Cleaner Shrimp 2 * Fire Shrimps 2 * ###### Shrimps 1 * Boxer Shrimp 1 * 2 Spotted Goby 1 * Scooter blenny 1 * Purple Fire Goby 2 * True Perc Clown fish Of course there is not definite right or wrong answers. I do not have auto feeder and water top up is generally done once in 2 days. Also my clowns have not been trained to eat pellet food. Was just wondering what should be done if I need to go for a weekend get away. Anyone can share their experience?
  12. Bro, any news/update on your AT? Has it shown any signs of improvement?
  13. ok thx for that. Wasnt sure if they will grow into huge monster. Seems like mine tank will become a crawling tank with only 2 clown and 1 fire goby not crawling on the sandbed.
  14. I saw them at EAP and they looked quite small. Any one has any clue how big they can grow to?
  15. I tried catching them out before when I was rescaping. The ###### certainly gave me a hard time till I gave up and left them in there.
  16. I think the general concern for these ###### shrimps will be when the sallys' grow big. As everyone know, ###### dont grow too big so .... I think I better refrain before any mishaps later.
  17. My ###### has grown quite big now about 1.5cm and very fat. Its one of my prized asset which has followed me thru right from the start. Want to be sure that these Sally will not be a threat to them. Else I would rather forget about them.
  18. You dont need to turn on lights during cycling. Given that you do not have any corals that are dependent of lights for survival. Off your lights for now until you really need to turn them on. I think this is new tank syndrome and I am facing it as well. I have pretty high PO4 at 0.5 and I am trying to control it using Rowaphos. Some reefers have commented that Biophos is good as well and slightly cheaper. In the meantime if you are still cycling, i think you should off your lights and save some $$$ on electricity bill.
  19. Has anyone tried to coexist Sally lightfoot with ###### Shrimps? Wanted to get 1 initially but was worried about my ######.
  20. Price revised to $30. Any takers? PM me. Looking at selling it at the soonest.
  21. Yes dont give up so easily. At least the AT is still fighting for its survival. Who knows that this may become your prized piece given the trauma that it has brought you. Too bad my tank is too small and immature to keep such a nice fish.
  22. How about some huge frog fish? EAP used to have 2 very big ones until it was sold recently.
  23. Who in this world that tell me that they dont work for $$$? If so then please come and work for me Bread and butter is one and work satisfaction is another. Tell me who can get work satisfaction when even affording bread and butter is an issue? You may say that I work for job satisfaction and pleasure first but thats probably becuase you dont have a family to support etc. There probably not much diff earning $8000 or $9000 but it certainly makes a big diff earning $1000 or $2000. Everyone tries to get some job satisfaction but we've got to be realistic as well. If you are given a decision to chose job satisfaction for $1000 a month salary vs no job satisfaction for $8000 a month, what would you chose? I would go for $8000 a month. Anyhow there is life after work. Just my personal opinion.
  24. I think you can try our sponser Octopus Bay.
  25. Just to share. There was once when my friend and I went to ML and asked Henry for about the price of the ricordeas frag that he has. His response was $xx but the colour is not very nice. You should wait for the next shipment for more choices. Another time I saw someone asking Henry about some fishes and his comments were that they are sick and not doing well. Wait for them to get back to health before getting them. This goes to show that he is not a hardcore salesman but a responsible reefer as well. I do not know him well and had only been to ML 3 times but each time I seem to bring back some good impression. Whats the point of buying a $10 LS for $8 to find that it died on you after 3 days.
