  3. Wow! Spectacular tank Scarab! Congratulations!
  4. Wow! Latest that tunze has come up with or is it created by another company to fit a tunze? Interesting coz the tunze can then rotate!
  5. Hi brittlestars, Think that detritus will collect at the gaps over time. Cheers!
  6. I think normal practice would be to buy starboard the just a little smaller than the floor of the tank so that it can easily be slotted into place and silicon it to the floor of the tank making sure to also silicon the edge and corners.
  7. Good work but like the rest advised, better to get wooden stand in the long run. All the best and keep the pics coming.
  8. That should work. All the best!
  9. Wow! Nice looking set-up you've got there! Well thought off...hiding the tunzes! Looking forward to the progress of your tank!
  10. You've got a point there. What if I use the BLV over the sps and the XM over the softies area? Hmmmmm....
  11. Wow! Looking forward to viewing your set-up!
  12. So if I had 2 MH fixtures, could I use an XM 10K in one and a BLV 10K in the other to 'get the best of both worlds'?
  13. Hi ervine, I believe it's to let the SG stabilise, thoroughly mix the salt and water, and to aerate the mixture. My 2 cents worth. Cheers!
  14. Wah! Swee! An afternoon's work well spent!
  15. Nice aquascaping acidjazz! Well done! Vincent...hidden talent huh?
  16. Like some of the bros advised, if you have a sump, maybe adding baffles and filter wool might help. Is your skimmer in the last chamber? Mabe locating it in the second chamber might help. If you're using hang-on skimmer like a prizm, maybe a course filter wool at the last chamber might help but make sure it's not too compactly stuffed in...otherwise will restrict flow. Cheers!
  17. Nicely done! Looking forward to 'Gentlemen, start your engines' tomorrow!
  18. So how much did he charge you? My rate ($150) or the new rate he charging ($315/hr)? How about the pics? Show leh!
  19. WELL DONE! Looks like you're one of the DIY kings! Your equipment area's looking very neat. Han Teck's coming over to my place tomorrow morning to do the piping! Cheers and well done once again!
  20. Will using a household steam cleaner to clean the heat exchanger fins and then flushing with water periodically (say once a month) help? This would of course be besides the standard 6 mthly or yearly servicing by the pros.
