  1. Thanks Leon! So far only the yellow and leopard wrasse go into the sand. The others hide in the rock at night. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Here's a link of a focus video I have on my Instagram account. https://instagram.com/p/BUBje8Gg4p8/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Hi guys, Started this tank in July 2016 and it's nearly a year since then, and have learnt a lot about the limits of a 2 ft cube tank. I have another thread called My Custom 2ft tank but it's been dead for a while because I had to learn some hard lessons in having Coral die out mysteriously. I'm Glad to say I now have overcome that challenge and at least LPS and Zoas are thriving. Some things I have managed to rule out due to the generosity of Reef Depot who gave away such a grand prize that has allowed me to run a full Ecotech Marine system. In that way, I can say issues like rust and leaking of lead caused by poor quality return pumps are no longer plaguing me. One thing I have been proud of is that my fish health has been very stable and have not had any disease outbreak for the last 10 months. Hence, thanks to my visit to Iwarna, I was intrigued to see their display tank that had LPS and softies, and most of all, wrasses swimming all about! Hence I've analysed and believe that for my system, the best fish to display with interesting personalities would be wrasses. Please share with me your favorite wrasses as I share my current tank inhabitants! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I have a full spectrum one. Text me at 87421834. Collect at Punggol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Madpetz has it, DE Aquatics too, Iwarna as well. Basically quite a few places carry it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. If u're prepared to invest, I've seen beautiful tanks done by people using AI Prime for a 2 ft tank. I would seriously consider it if I were you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Zoas sold thanks everyone Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Selling healthy and beautiful zoas each frag has at least 3 polyps. $10 each frag. Collect at Punggol Way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Check ur water chemistry for ammonia spike or Nitrate buildup Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I personally use purple rock that is sold per kg at Aquamarin. I find them good and also makes the tank look more mature. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Steady la law! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. U can try Aquarium Artist, guy's name is Vincent. Professional and affordable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Super efficient set up! Sounds like an experienced reefer! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Hello folks! Have been Reefing since June 2014 and have come to realise over the years that some items I have bought before were absolutely unnecessary. So to help those who are new to this hobby avoid the heartache, am calling all reefers to share the items you were convinced to buy but in the end was redundant. For me, the most unnecessary purchase was the IM filter sock for my then IM Nuvo Fusion 40. That thing clogged up almost immediately, and I had to keep scrubbing it but it would keep clogging and overflowing. I was better just going back to use filter wool which was much more economical. Apart from that, I had also spent unnecessary money making 2 Nanotanks when actually I would have been very happy just keeping a 2ft cube right from the start. Hundreds were spent getting equipment to start up the tanks and work around the small space in the IOS. In the end after 2 years of mucking around, I finally realised a proper tank with a proper sump was the way to go unless you can afford the space to make the IOS that has 1ft of space to put all that equipment you need. If only I took the time to learn properly and plan a proper tank, I would have saved so much time and money. How about the rest? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  16. It sounds like this is a new tank that you have just set up? If so, how Long have you cycled ur tank and have you measured if indeed the Ammonia is at 0 ppm, and the Nitrite is also at 0ppm? Is the Nitrate then at 20ppm? If so then you can try medicating to help the clowns recover. There is this product called Dr G's caviar and it is very effective in treating fish without upsetting the tank's chemistry, if the tank's parameters are in acceptable levels. If it is not, you are only stressing the fish as the water is toxic for them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. @dpyz@SubZeroLT care to share? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I think they ordered the aluminum profile and net and stuffed the net in themselves haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Yes I've read that when u take the screen out to wash, u dip it in the display tank and swish it back and forth a bit. Not too hard that you will dislodge the loose algae though. Haha. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Most people I know do it via customisation. SubzeroLT and Dpyz have both done one for their tank. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Every 10 days or so. Actually by 4 days I already see that the screen is covered with algae. I have never taken it out earlier than 7 days to see if it is that thick or not though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Good to know ur tank is up and running. u may want to consider an algae Scrubber. I find that is the most stable nutrient exporter so it's very suitable for nano tanks. Skimmers in nanotanks tend to overflow very fast and that will result in reintroducing of ammonia as the protein skimmed has gone bad. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Thanks all for the reply. I like what has been shared so far. Seems to make sense that we must clear the screen diligently or we'll be reintroducing nutrients back to the system. Fun fact. Did u know ATS also breeds pods?? This was how thick my ATS had grown with algae. This is how it looks after rinsing! Happy Reefing! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Hey bro I think it is a Crocea clam but I can't be sure. Thanks for the compliments. I am sure either Iwarna or Coral farm will have pretty clams from time to time in their shipments. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Hi Reefers, Here's something I'm scratching my head about. Does the Algae Turf Scrubber absorb nutrient most efficiently when the screen is thick with algae, or when the screen is cleared for growth of algae? The confusion has some implications. Do I clear the screen frequently, or only when it has absolutely overgrown and water cannot flow down and algae stops growing? If I keep clearing my screen, algae continues to reappear on my screen. If I don't clear, I'm curious whether that means the algae present is absorbing all the excess nitrates and phosphates to survive? Please give your comments! Let's not make SRC a place that is only good for Pasar Malam! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
