Hi. quite interesting what you guys can do with tupperware. What other cheapo DIY stuff can recommend? Tried my own kalkwasser doser with an inverted coke pet bottle but cap always leaking after first try. So after use a cheap tupperware from lelong shop, made hole at one end and poke in a plastic air valve then silicon it. Placed it on the center bar of the tank and poor mixed kalkwasser into it and let it drip drip drip into the water. Can't afford those serious looking ones costing $50++

Read about it too from the same book as well as a few books. Saw it once sometime back in a LFS. Attracted to it's colors but remembered reading about it so I decided against it. Wish some of these LFS would take more care about what they bring in.

Err... are you guys sure the Ebli is that expensive? Use to have a few myself but had trouble keeping them. Maybe my tank was not stable. Anyway used to buy them for $10 to $15. Size about 3". Not sure if they still have them but use to see a few of them at Sungei Tengah.

The orange striped is also known as Apogon Cyanosoma. Got some pics below from the net mine are gone.... sob! Anyway there are two other cardinalfish with similar markings, Apogon Wassinki and Progenta. These two are more like yellow fishes with silver stripes, whereas the cyanosoma are silver fish with yellow striped. They are look great! Especially with the brown patch on the head. Hey, Cardinals are nice fish . Favourites are Banggai and Orange striped. Only problem is always have problems with white spot on the latter ones.
