  1. hey ian, about my pm to you earlier, i was wondering if we could maybe do a bulk purchase. let me email some copepod vendors and see what comes up. im actually looking to share a bottle with as many people as possible, mostly because im trying to breed them for my tank, and not use directly as a food source (too expensive )
  2. hey guys, im looking for some copepods. if anyone has any to spare, please sell or give some to me. im looking to breed them for food. i know i know....its for the tank, not me. will pass it on! http://www.advancedaquarist.com/issues/feb2003/breeder2.htm thanks! henry 94874835
  3. seen them before myself....very beautiful and healthy
  4. yep, i clean oysters and clams...not very thoroughly though. forgot to add that i mix in mysis and brine shrimp as well. mix them up with seaweed and cyclopeeze, spread the paste thinly in trasparent food bags and freeze. i break off a small piece to feed everyday. quite potent man. skimmer start to foam like crazy about 10~15 min later
  5. i love this forum man. visit it almost everyday. taught me so many things. i did report some of the idiots. i wouldn't mind being a mod, you know, even if its just to help clean this place up. but like most things, being a mod is easier said than done. but i do agree that morons should be banned straightaway, and then settle with mods and admin on the side
  6. i chop the oysters and clams and shrimps at the same time, so they have approx the same consistency. tasty.....
  7. i add clam meat and oysters as well. no garlic for me though
  8. haiyah, you guys ah, like that also dunno ah...... its a pratarina but seriously, it looks really ac/dc man
  9. the missing uv coating for the new batch of bulbs is definitely plausible, but im thinking, since most of us have uv glass for our mh, maybe its not just the additional uv thats affecting the corals. but i have no idea what might be the cause
  10. i just switched to using blv 10k 250w for a few hours, and all my corals start to curl and furl. its really much stronger than my existing 10k 250w coralvue bulb.
  11. can try blv. its a german made bulb, very reputable. i bought a 250W 10k a few days ago, but i think the par value is too high compared to my existing coralvue bulb http://www.advancedaquarist.com/2006/4/review
  12. forgot to add that its double ended
  13. Hi guys, i bought a 250W 10K BLV MH bulb a couple of days ago at $100 and would like to sell it for $85, as it is not suitable for my tank. par value too high my corals i think. the bulb has been fired for less than 6 hrs. quite a good deal, since its a german bulb that's especially made for reef tanks. gimme a msg at 9487 4835 if interested k? thanks! henry
  14. i placed my tank near a window, and then mounted the chiller on the wall, with the heat exhaust close to a window. since the curtains cover the chiller, most of the heat is vented out. this is an older pic of my tank. now there a curtain covering the chiller with the windows opened. freakin chiller super warm man......damn near cooked my family
  15. oh well, lots of a$$hos around. but should have posted this in kopitiam.
  16. oh no, so sorry, i forgot to post the link to the original thread. http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthre...25&pagenumber=6 the pics are not my tank. they are from a thread in reefcentral which i saw a few days ago. im looking high and low for it now
