  5. but his tank i believed is not drilled for overflow. so he will still need it drilled or a overflow box as well.
  6. u can use canister, but got to clean it (with salt water) quite often else it will become nitrate factory. then your livestocks & corals will not live long. the most common filtration suitable for marine would be use of sump tank.

  12. tat's interesting, coz I juz use cable tie for a xenia tat got detached from it's colony. tie it up loosely to a rock with another xenia together, so far so good, still opens up to feed.
  13. pardon my remarks, but u really shldn't think of saving some money. what need to spend had to spend. imagine u sick, dun want to see doctor to save the money?

  15. it shld be iodide not iodine. look here for recent discussion: http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=25833
  16. try deltec epoxy putty where u can stick them together even under wet condition. But not all corals can stick. The best way is to stick the rock where the corals is attached to the liverock where u want them. Make sure that is the best position for the corals to thrive b4 u stick them together. Try searching old thread esp by weileong. He had visual guide on doing these. do not use silicon.
  17. sounds like the coral tentacles which extended to feed on particles in water.
  18. problem with the dirt accumulated @ the exit.. stupid me.
  19. thanks guys..prob solved. I covered the exit with cotton wool to block the bubbles, end up the cotton is dirty & blocked the smooth exit of water. Removed the wool & the skimmer is back to normal liao. Thanks once again. U gave me the idea.
  20. Hi all, recently my skimmer gone crazy skimming water all the way up to the collection cup & out of the cover too.. the bubbles can still be seen on the tube but at dis stage it is not skimming dirt anymore. I had removed the skimmer & pump for washing with warm water but no use.. Had turn off the skimmer since yesterday nite as the water out of the collection cup cover is wetting my floor. Dis skimmer is 2 mth old from bio ocean, tried calling them but I think they are still not opened yet. anyone had suggestion / comments as to what I can do next?
