  5. Wah now harder to differentiate TP from normal patrol from the rear view mirror.
  6. For Mg, I use TM only to raise a little and maintain the level and not to raise it when it is way too low.For that I do water change.I have epsom salt but still hesitate to use coz of the sulphate content. For the SC additives it really is good.BTW all my dry 'dead rocks' I bought are now all covered by coralline algae within two months only.(save money) I have yet to see any difference in dosing iodine though. Overall, I am pleased with these products.Although having a CR is ideal but IMO it is also problematic.

  14. Yup water changes is always good.I second the idea of investigating the source than just plain water changes.Juz my 2 cents.
  15. If I am not wrong, the sand that you have for 3 years may have already lost its properties.Think it will be better to have new media unless you are willing to take the risk of pH problems later on.
  16. For new set-up, I would suggest you don't wash the LR with tapwater.Getting rid of crabs and other pests can be done prior to putting in the tank.Washing the LR with tap water will lengthen the cycling period as well as introduce PO4 and copper which will leach back into the water. For adding of new LR into established tank, you may choose to use the tapwater method but with caution.Best if you can let the new LR cycle in a tub before putting in the main tank.
  17. Be careful what you wish for. You might juz get it.
