  1. Hi, I have a Rio 20HF for sale. Original price $99. Selling $80, only 5 days old. Reason for selling, not suitable for my tank. PM me your interest. Thanks.
  2. I was using grade 3 sand earlier on and what I had was that the sand actually turn dark quite easily, very unsightly. By using coral chips which is even coaser than grade 3 sand, I think it may be worse off, more stuff may even be trapped, i think. I was quite skeptical about BB at first but after what happen to my previous setup coupled with what I saw trapped in the sandbed while removing it, I am happy with BB. Previously, I disturbed the sandbed while rearranging some LRs and this stressed all my fish big time and many of them died as a result! Most of them had been with since I started some time back. BTW, I am only into FOWLR and thus not too sure of the placement for LPS corals. Will leave that for others to help you on that then.
  3. Hi w3ish3ng, Yes, I remember you. I did not really do the proper way of cooking. As I am going slow in the re-setting up, I kind of killed everything by soaking them in fresh water (in the process, killed all the worms and crabs), I know this is not the right way but no choice, no time and sufficient resources also. I will take my time to stock up also. Do a search in RC if you are really interested in doing the right way of "cooking" the LRs. Kind of resource intensive though.
  4. Bro, If budget not too much a concern, check out the curved edges tanks like those in Mt E hospital. Cool!
  5. Hi marble, I am no ecpert but I had just gone BB too. For me, I guess it is the way I arrange the LRs, some "anchoring" pieces at the bottom and then slowly build them upwards. I also used epoxy to secure some strategic ones. I was amazed at the amount of dirt trapped in the sand as I scooped them all out! Really looks likely that BB is lower maintenance to me but have to stick to more frequent regeme of water changes and siphoning out the "seen" dirt and wastes.
  6. Thanks bro, the lead is very informative.
  7. Hi bro, just checking if anyone has BB for their FOWLR?
  8. Oh, I stayed there from 1994-1997, blk 24/25 Cougars
  9. Oh ya, now would have become aluminuim liao Enjoy your stay in the halls! I used to stay in Hall 4 all my days in NTU! Absolutely loved Hall life (more than study life). Play hard but don't forget to study hard too guys.
  10. Definitely election propaganda! However, since the area probably belongs to Pasir-Punggol GRC, I think sure walkover one.
  11. Sorry for this if it angers anyone here but for car seats, I personally will not go for used ones as this is something that I view very important. A life is at stake! Go for something that is certified to be safe. Go for new ones for hygiene reasons as well. Anyway, already spent so much on car liao, why save on this?
  12. The display tank really looks to be in a poor shape. The better ones that I have seen so far is the ones in Mt E Hospital Reception area. Some of the fish I noticed actually survived quite long.
  13. Ian, can one enage neutral for auto gear car too? I heard from someone that auto car no need to go neutral as doing that may result in more mechanical faults in the gear, applicable for manual cars though.
  14. Someone suggest to put as little things in the boot as possible. Some people can really put a lot of things in the boot! My sis always put her golf bags, shoes, and lots of things in the boot. Like a mini storeroom. Wonder if anyone also keeps their boot as their second storeroom?
  15. Hi Folks, What are the best ways to maximise that every liter that you pump at the gas ststions? Please share.
  16. Can go for the elephant ride also. Nice.
  17. I am using AQUAC Remora for my 48"X18"X18". Good skimmer IMO. Try getting from Eaquanature online store. The Pro version is much more expensive. If you can wait (maybe indefinite), this skimmer appears once in a blue moon in Pasar Malam. I had tried sourcing from overseas online store but the price difference from local one is not too much.
  18. No lah, never got any Queen Angels although very tempted. I think I am still not ready for such a beautiful fish yet. Don't want to end up killing it instead. Got a clown tang and Rusty Angel instead.
  19. Did you check your parameters before dosing?
  20. Hi Travier, Nice meeting you at Reborn earlier in the dau, Sorry I did not recognize you at first thus blur blur. Just read about you tank, so sorry about what happened. BTW, did you try using pellets spaked in garlic guard for your fish instead of "fresh meat" ? I am happy with the pellets (Ocean nutrition and Kent Marine). Not too sure of the fresh macro algae for feeding your fish too. When I try thoses frozen mysis and brine shrimps, my fish graps them and after that they seems to reject the pellets for a few days until hungry again! I had since tried less of fresh meat liao. They can also be dringing in some disease or parasites. Are you still using the dried nori for your tangs? Hope that all will turn out good for you!
  21. Reborn got many Queen Angels. Very nice specimens. Also got Rock Beuaty and Coral Beaty and Rusty Angels, lemon peel and Powder Brown. The fish shop still under renovation.
  22. They are just maintaining their online shop business. No more doing shopfront. You can pm edmund for your queries.
