Don't take the risk with blue tack, the fish tank will crack when the rockscape collapse. There is a reefer call 'NAx0' in SRC and he is using light diffuser and cable ties to hold the rocks together. Instead of using a single large piece of light diffuser, u can use many smaller size ones and create an interesting rockscape. I used this method some time back when I setup my tank. This pix is from his thread.

Can u look at the 1st pic that u posted... Do u think that the right-most metal rod use to suspend the 'tank' is transparent?

Since it's grazing, that is already a good start. They will take some time to recognise pellets, nori as 'food'.

For the propagation tank, you can consider using a small pump to draw water up from the sump and let excess water overflow down back to the sump. I feel it's much safer.

Did u check whether the sump will overflow if there's a power failure?
