  1. cover all powerhead and filter intakes with sponge or plastic mesh
  2. Bubble tip Anemones are a medium light Anemones. They do not require Metal Halide lighting, in fact they hide from such bright light until fully adjusted to it which could take weeks of acclimization. They will thrive under PL lighting very well if you have rockwork that they can climb up on to reach more light if they feel the need to. If your BTA wanders around it is either unhappy with the water flow, or is looking for food. If it hides, it is trying to get away from bright light, or is new to your tank and is just acclimizing itself to your tank. Be patient and do not move your new Anemone. It will come out of hiding on its own.
  3. U shld vary the foodstuffs to include squid, mysis shrimps, silversides, prawns etc. Some reefers say that the more you feed these animals, the more they split, and the smaller they stay. If you want a large specimen, don't feed it so much, maybe once each week. If you want lots of smaller clones, feed the hell out of it.

  8. Basically, u have 2 types. Elastomeric Nitrile Foam (black in colour) and Polyethylene Foam (P.E.) - grey in colour. Elastomeric Nitrile Foam is very flexible, light in weight and has low thermal conductivity of 0.04W/m°C @10°C. Pipe insulation for chilled water
  9. I simply siliconed the industrial trunking above the overflow box. Still have one piece of trunking 20" long. If it's suitable for you, come and collect from me at Hougang.
  10. Pls do not buy on impulse if u know nothing abt the fish, there are sufficient amount of info available on SRC and the web. If they are threatened or become overly stressed, they can exude a toxic substance that will kill everything in the aquarium. You can keep them but make sure that u wash your hands thoroughly after meddling with the tank. Do not keep with aggresive fish like triggers.
  11. maybe u want to pass it to one of the reefers here instead of letting it die.

  14. Mandarinfish/Dragonets can only be introduced into a well-seasoned aquarium that is at least 6 mths old with plenty of microorganisms and other animals (e.g copepods) found in live rock and live sand. Meanwhile, pls read this: http://www.wetwebmedia.com/../mandfdgfaqs.htm I strongly suggest that u go for Gobies or Blennies. There're many beautiful species out there if u take ur time to look for it. They will feed on prepared food much easier. http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/scateg....=23&TopCatId=23 http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/categ.c...=31&TopCatId=15
