  1. Leather for Lester hahahaa kidding mate =)
  2. pathetic creatures roaming the earth. and how sad it is... its one of us. how i wish i could tear alittle bit of flesh from them... and soak them into saltwater and let them have a taste of it. but we cant blame them. we cant.
  3. i read somewhere from a book in the libary. it stated that baby brineshrimp can be fed with wheat(powder form).
  4. i'm not sure too. it doesnt look like a sea squirt to me too but the link u gave above stated its from the ascidiacea class.
  5. i know nuts about these. however, that boss is definetly too outrageous. hope everything goes well for ur family, Gouldian. regards, LaW
  6. how old is ur tank? wat are the LS? did u recently add any fish? feed it with garlic soaked food. get a fan lower the temperature if u didnt run a chiller or fan. or get some reef safe medication like "waterlife" UV helps abit but costly. good luck
  7. agree with shoelevy. do consider it carefully. and i always the like the idea of seperating the refugium away from equipments(sump).
  8. if its from the ascidiacea class. then it should be a filter-feeder. not sure about it too. http://www.woodbridge.tased.edu.au/mdc/Spe..._ascidiacea.htm
  9. wao~! useful website for us. upz to share
  10. seriously man... ur mum its just being kind. as in shes trying to get more fishes for u. so dun talk to your mum in an unfriendly tone. although its a "fault" but still... she just being kind. i bet ur mum already "feel bad" enuff after what happened as all her efforts went down to the drain. i dun think shes trying to make u lose interest. infact i think shes loving it thats why she goes through all the troubles on buying some LS for ur tank thinking u will actually appreciate what she did. but then too bad... i had this experience before as my sis bought home a number of fishes. like a lobster, seahorse, common clown, ""3" blue tang", 2 damsels for my "2 feet tank" at first, I was quite pissed as my tank already heavily stocked. but still i understand why my sis was trying to do so i didnt blame her. after talking to my sis about the problem she made, she felt bad enough and stopped buying LS for me already. anyway, after a while the seahorse, clown and one of the damsels died. but for the rest, its already been more than a yr in my "2 feet tank". its not their fault for not knowing anything about bioloads or reef compatability when they just trying to show some interests to our hobby seriously. If i were u, i will apologise to her if i lose my temper infront of her on that day. not telling u what is right or wrong but just let you know on what i will do if i were u. treat it as a reference. alot of people around us espeically our gf or family members may be discouraging us from reefing because of the hassle and money we are spending on it. but still, after a while, they will try to make an interest in it because ITS our hobby. takes time, have a good talk with ur mum. happy reefing, dun get disappointed, just keep going, we are here to guide you regards, LaW

    Wish?

first, a warm welcome to u. but dun ever mix tropical with marine fish together. pls dun ever do that
  16. IMO they dun sting one another.
  17. theres some reasons why anemone moves ard. 1) they dun like the current (small to mild medium current prefered) 2) searching for lights (strong lighting needed) 3) searching for more oxygen. (do something about it. skimmer too weak? or temperature too high, dissolved oxygen reduced. add a fan or a chiller if u dun have it. if u have a chiller already and a good skimmer, then oxygen its not a problem already.) do more readings and research. Strong Lighting is surely needed. these are my experiences in keeping anemone. hope it helps u atleast abit. good luck.
  18. garlic do helps by boosting the fish's immune system. u run a chiller? if not get some fan blowing the water to reduce the temperature. it helps
