  1. Happy New Year everyone! Here is something new in my setup. The water temperature can get as high as 30 Degree C when the tank is exposed to direct sun, so I DIY-ed solar-powered cooling fans to run during the sunny days. Will share the results of the effectiveness when I've more data.
  2. Let me know if you are still unable to get GHA. i've at least 5 different green macros which are suitable for display. If it's for only to be used as a filter, might be easier to get Cheato from anyone staying near your area? It's quite easy to find nowadays.
  3. Sure, it is also known as Pacific Reef Address 471 Geylang Rd, Singapore 389430
  4. Thank you Sherman! Any luck with the macros so far?
  5. Thanks JMW! There are 2 major sponges which I've no idea the exact species and their requirements, so i'm doing a variety of things such as dosing silica, dosing carbon and feeding phytoplankton every once in a while! Gotten it from AhBeng Aquarium
  6. One more FTS + Rics collection before we crossed over to 2019
  7. 20 more available! $10 for 10 mini stars. Bigger stars in the picture for reference only. Min 10 stars per purchase Self collect at my place or voiddeck only (Clementi) PM to arrange
  8. Available again! $10 for 10 mini stars. Bigger stars in the picture for reference only. Min 10 stars per purchase Self collect at my place or voiddeck only (Clementi) PM to arrange
  9. how many are you looking at? i've quite a good population in my tank. But may not be able to hunt for them so easily

  12. Found at least 5 mini brittle starfishes while replanting the Ochtodes macros to spread their growth. These guys are really good at multiplying! They are now in the Mini stars husbandry ready for sale
  13. Thanks! Ah yes and it creates alot of food naturally too though i've been overfeeding the tank
  14. Here are the photos update for the month of Nov. And so I have jumped into the dark side of coral keeping. No idea how it will work out in this warm tropical tank without a chiller. A rock of hitchhiker mushrooms that have been in my tank since the beginning seems to be doing well. So I thought why not grow a Yuma/Ricordea garden on top of the seaweed garden. The Yuma/Ricordeas were added about 2 months ago and the Pulsing Xenia was introduced recently. So far so good, except for one of the Yuma which has 'turned white'. Gotten a beautiful new orange sponge recently, didnt have much luck with the blue, the yellow sponge which has been in the tank for over 3-months is still alive and doing well! The Mangrove is finally able to stand on its own without any artificial support, thanks to its overgrown roots and the Blue Ochtodes. Tiny fanworms started sprouting on the sandbeds! The C.Prolifera is dominating the sandbed fast as well. And this Banggai cardinal has decided to make this leafy forest its shelter. And some more photos of the inhabitants
  15. Very lucky to find these two different kindof Gracilaria! I've tied them up together, hopefully, can figure out how to grow them this round.
  16. Hi Sleexox, No more seahorses, my tank is not suitable after all. One of them 'died by wavemaker', another became too stress and developed gas bubble. Some others got harassed by the fishes. I've decided not to take the risk again, at least not with the current species in the current setup.
  17. New batch available. Item 2,3,4,5 to go together at SGD40. Self-collect only at my place @ Clementi. 2. Green grapes (big handful) 3. Prolifera (as shown in the photo, same container as green grapes) 4. 10 mini starfishes 5. Green razor (big handful) PM TO DEAL
  18. All to go together at SGD40. Self-collect only at my place @ Clementi. 1. NOT AVAILABLE 2. Green grapes (big handful) 3. Prolifera (as shown in the photo, same container as green grapes) 4. 10 mini starfishes 5. Green razor (small handful) PM TO DEAL
  19. lol oh no, i wouldnt want urchin, tang, angelfish and snail which feed on the macro in the refugium, unless the macros are growing faster than being consumed
  20. The light leaked will definitely encourage algae growth in another area, and as long as the Chaetos are the majority of the nutrient fixer, it shouldnt be too big of an issue. But why do you want to contain the algae growth to only the reactor? Algae growth outside the reactor is not a bad thing unless they're clogging the pump/bio-media. I guess illustrating with photos would be a lot more helpful?
  21. Hi Sherman, Thank you for accommodating to my timing! Hope the macros and stars are doing well in your tank. Lets grow this 'niche' interest
