but how many % need to change??? Thinking of changing water also but my pail too small.... full also only ~5%, getting a bigger pail later. Everytime I change my tank water also getting the floor wet, dont know any tips all brother reefer can share when changing water?

Already 2 weeks skim nothing, only thin layer of bubble form at the top of water level. tank para: ph: 8.2 kh: 10 - 11 salinity: 1.022 bioload: 1 boxer shmrip 2 small (~1") percula clown 2 small tiny hermit crab Both clown and hermit crab just in my tank for 3 days. Worry why my skimmer skim nothing....

I think better use a solid piece like marble or any hard material. Coz after some time, the weight of your tank will press down the carboard or rubber pad.

I got 2 1/2 feet tank with: 3 percula clown 1 yellow tail damsel 1 small damsel 1 angel 1 skunk clown 1 boxer shrimp. All living happilly "before" for 3 months. tank wipe out after change tank.... and left only a boxer shrimp... getting everything back as before...

I have a boxer shrimp and plan to buy 2 cleaner shrimp.. can they mix? My tank is 30"L X 22"W X 20"H.

I also get my skimmer running during cycling, somemore add the filter wool to capture all the debris. I dont think the skimmer will skimmer out any bacteria, it should skim out the unwanted things like waste from LS and LR.... correct me if I am wrong. I hope to see my skimmer working hard with all bubble in collection cup, after 2 weeks although with skimmer on, the skimmer seem like didnt skim anything from my tank. Maybe nothing left to be skimmed.

I dont know whether the pH will swing.. but so far until now. I never use the pH buffer. All the while the pH is always 8.2 with all top up water and water change. I tested few times on the new mixed water, always 8.2 is 8.2 ok?

Yesterday I tried to take out the wool and had done some rescaping on the LR. The debris is everywhere. After 2-3 hours, it all disappear (without wool) but I can see the difference there with and without wool. More debris inside without wool. Thinking of putting back the wool as for the whole night, my skimmer skim nothing. But the problem is very dificcult to put take out the wool and put back. Any good design for easy way?

i dont change it... but wash it every week. Not much bioload in my tank yet. Another function of the wool in my tank is to trap the micro bubble produced from the overflow from tank.

If it was velvet, how long should I leave my tank blank? I got 1 boxer and tube worm inside.

I dont know whether my skimmer is strong enough for my tank, weipro 2013 pump L/h 1800 and totlal tank volume 60G (~200L)???

my tank fengsui should be good gua.... cause previous tank also at the same fengsui place and all fish live there happily... now just cycle it and wait until every para good then add fish.. cannot tahan seeing the tank empty without fish for 2 weeks....

I wash it once a week but I find difficult to take it out... any DIY design for easier cleaning.

I have a sump and fisrt I just pump my skimmer pump in the first compartment (water from tank) and without any wool. Later as I rescape my LR, i put quite a big piece of wool in the first compartment and found it really capture lot of debris from the tank. I saw some design of sump as they dont use wool to filter it out... so just wonder is wool needed? My tank is 50g(189L) and sump is 10g(37L). Skimmer use weipro 2013. currently not much LS in, just a boxer shrimp and a tube worm.

i dont have chiller, temp at ~30­°C. I know its hot but in my previous tank, the temp is same and all fish is lived there happily....... The fish die becoz of white spot, so whould I left the tank for some time? how long?

some background. My old tank bent and going to burst so transfer all LS and LR to a plastic container. Wait for 1 month and moved to new tank. Transfer all LR and LS in new tank. All fish start dieing after few days. Now left only boxer shrimp.

I just setup a new tank and all LS dead except a boxer shrimp. Fish up lorry: 3 perc clown 1 skunk clown 1 angel All fish died of desease, the last one died is perc clown. The body like having a layer of white tint. after 1 day, byebye. Is hyposalinity needed? Or just leave the tank for few weeks? Ammnia: 0 No2: 0.5 No3: 0 Salinity: 1.023 KH: 10 PH: 8.2

you can go to either one plastic shop or shop doing the evertisement. They should be selling the acrylic, get the 3mm thickness is enough. I think this overflow is much better than the pipe one. You can see is there any bubble trap in the sifon and with the ver 2, you can suck the bubble out or to start the sifon... To bend it, heat it and bend it... i use the candle and the burn place is somehow black color... for me is ok as long as it works....

Its better to get rid of the crab. I caught 6 crabs in my tank. The bottle method is not really working if the crab is smart. I only can catch 2 crab with the method. Then after wait for 3 days... frustrated and find the LR where the crab hiding, pull it out and wash in tap water. Finally get all 6. All throw into sea already.
