hi all nanoians, may i know how thick is ur glass tank? please include your tank size as well. coz my friend gave me a 2x1x1.5 ft tank of thickness merely 5 to 6mm.. dunno can withstand or not, but before he gave me, he use that tank for marine fish too.

dear reefers, recently i have notice a thin layer of oil film thingy layer floating on the water surface.. is there any ways to remove those unsightly things? mine is a nano tank(2x1x1), no sump therefore no overflow to trap those oily thing.. what are the cause of those oil? only feeding fish with pellet twice a day and corals with liquid plankton food once a week LS: 4 clownfish, 1 bubble, a few mushies

hi, im feeding my fish with those kind of commercial fish pellet that will sink into water that kind, small round kind.. but i notice that some of it will sink into water then somehow drop onto my bubbles and mushroom!! but they seems to swollow it into their mouth!! is it ok that they eat those food? will they die? care to share your experience on the issue?

how come no one mention macro series skimmer? i heard they are good skimmer too.. anyone out there have experience with tat. i tink they have models for hang-on tank skimmer and it comes with pump(not very bulky i tink). red sea primz's design is slick for a small tank, but expensive. regarding power head pump, i have tried ehiem PH. some models can be use externally(not inside water) AND internally. so if you have space constraint in your tank, u can put it outside tour tank. but it is very expensive and bulky. btw, if u decided to put in tank, dun forget to consider the fact that it will generate certain amount of heat into your water. just note to point out.

but for weipro series, u need to get a PH. (although weipro skimmer quite cheap, but thats does not include the PH) it will add up to $100 over.. some more the PH is quite bulky inside a 2ft tank. u need to get external PH. u might want to consider other brand, coz im experiencing leaking using weipro. just a suggestion..

thanx for the feedback... wow!!! $600 for a skimmer!!! never thought it will be so ex.. is there any hanging outside tank skimmer thats around $200? may i know where can i buy those accessories like eheim 2028, recommended skimmer, MH light etc all under one roof at reasonable price? dun mind if not cheapest in town. coz want to save trip, borrow car for half a day only.. ya, btw my tank is 10mm in thickness..
