  10. SRC got 2 batmans, from 2 parallel dimensions
  11. To overcome fear...... you must become fear itself
  12. in fact i have seen rust appearing just weeks after the stand is used.... especially if you are the kind that drips saltwater around the tank while meddling with your tank. even if we try to coat the stand with anti-rust paint...it is just delaying the inevitable, so my advice is get a wooden stand if you do not foresee yourself changing the tank or upgrading in a few months time. If it is going to be a more or less permanent fixture in its current location, get a wooden stand.
  13. your stand will get rusty pretty soon, why not get a wooden stand before you start stocking up.... otherwise a few months down the road, u may have to move the tank to change the stand
  14. test your phosphates, once there are detectable levels, it is time to change. and also, since when did rowaphos absorb nitrates u can use the whole 1kg for your tank if your FR is big enough...as for expiry date, not too sure myself.
  15. got DSLR now must make full use of it.... make sure can see the scales on the fish body

better make sure no significant particles or chips get sucked into the needlewheel pump because there goes the acrylic pins that's why needlewheelers like deltec/H&S/aquamedic uses materials that can flex. on the other hand, there's the other extreme where BBK uses titanium pins that probably smashes whatever that comes in the way of its rotating pins
  17. no problem, here is another url for reading of storing camera/lenses and humidity http://www.totechamerica.com/html/index_optics.php http://english.t-photo.com/QP010001.htm
  18. Tangs pic... move to T mode.....set to 1/80 to 1/100s (if too dark increase the ISO to 800) and burst away Please dun use thirsty hippo in a box, your camera internals will gum up or even crack in the long term....dry cabinets are to be set around 40-50% humidity for our cameras.... any higher and fungus will be happy to grow, any lower and your camera internals like shutter will dry up and shorten the lifespan. happy shooting.

  20. The way to removal is to do it slowly and gradually to allow the system to catch up. *topic moved from LPS forum to General Reefkeeping*
  21. 1) You can try removing the coral chips/bioballs 2) Add more cured live rocks 3) Tune your existing denitrator properly 4) Tune your skimmer properly / Get a better skimmer 5) Lower your number of fishes / Feed them less often 6) Change water once a week instead of twice a week 7) Change a larger percentage of water instead of your 15% each time 8) Ensure the water for your salt mixing does not have significant nitrates. You can use DI/RO to absorb nitrates from your water source. UV light does not significantly increase NO3. U can try a combination of the above to tackle your NO3 problem.
