well .. my turbo snail works fine.. coral still intact. think it's the question in how the coral are being placed. My Seio820 is nicely cleaned by the turbo snail as well.

nakazura is right. Distilled water is the water collected from condensation of boiling water. You can still use tap water and add salt and let it cycled, if you want to add something more, you could add those commercial pre-treatment solution to tap water that helps to remove chlorine and some heavy metal (Sera has one and some other brands has this as well). But you got to add this treatment solution before you add in your marine salt. Hope it helps.
