  1. Hrmz, is that comfirmed? Have never seen them bring in nice yumas before.
  2. Let me guess.....2 words, 1st word starts with P...2nd starts with R....
  3. Even DSLRs might not be enough for you to take a good marco. My 17-85IS isn't made for something like that. What i do is to take the pic at a normal distance and then crop the part of the picture you want to keep....
  4. My bills come with an estimated reading every 3 months.....they'll calculated the amount based on the previous 2 months usage. Mel, whats your normal bill amount? Alot of difference?
  5. LoL...thats true.... I don't mind...anyway, we are all here to share some knowledge and enjoy ourselves.
  6. T95 - Red Lobos, red gonios, cynarinna, assorted mushrooms, green yumas
  7. the "other forum" has some ppl selling...
  8. Hrmz, that really depends on the colour of the yuma. Im not an expert, maybe bro Jervis will be better placed to advice rdg this. He just got some...
  9. LoL...common as in those green ones? How much did your friend pay for them?
  10. Hrmz, thats a good point, like humans who have never been exposed to the harse enviroments....they'll be the first to perish if they were ever exposed. But i guess the time needed to change a bulb wouldn't do much harm. Come to think of it, maybe i should get a UV too.
  11. Haha, 30 mins is inclusive of the time i spent trying to entice them to extend their feeding tentacles...the lobo doesn't extend them very often....
  12. If you put the new fish in your display tank within a betta box, i don't think that can be classfied as quarrantining your fish. QTs are normally a seperate tank of its own....and some reefers quarrantine new arrivals for up to a few weeks, adjust the water parameters in the QT to match their display tank before transferring the fish over. Im too lazy....
  13. Do a search on the forum, there have been many post regarding how to get rid of unwanted pests. Maybe i can loan you my picasso trigger...
  14. haha, okok....anything left at T95 when you got your new corals a few days back?
  15. I've used a KH test kit from Aqumedi(some ulu brand) before. Something very similiar to yours too. If im not mistaken, after every drop you are suppose to swirl the test water in the vial abit. Yes, the 1st drop is counted. For my test kit, it says "Shake after each drop until the colour turns from blue over green into yellow. The number of drops is equal to the carbonate hardness(dKH). Hope this helps. For your case, i'll interperate your test result as having a carbonate hardness of 10dkh. This is just a guide, check with the LFS you got the test kit from, they'll be able to advice you better.
  16. I use an oversized syringe too....with a long feeding tube. Normally i'll spend around 30 mins to feed all my LPS.
  17. Hrmz, whats wrong with target feeding LPS? Is there any difference if i target feed it or it catches its own food? Afterall the tentacles are all there swaying around, i don't think theres any harm in just helping them "catch" the food is there?
  18. Hrmz, bro colin also uses cyclopeeze to entice his suns to open up before feeding them mysis. Do you feed yours anything else except cyclopeeze?
  19. ShrUgz, cant help you here...i've never measured my Mg before.....
  20. Erm, what kind of food do you feed your suns? Interested to find out the different way people feel their beloved sun corals....
  21. All sold....thanks for the interest....
  22. Ah well, they are super expensive mushrooms....if my green one does well, i'll get a bi or tri coloured one next time....
  23. Maybe they mean to leave the spoon in the test vial? Or manybe "spoon inside" means they've included a spoon in the package...
  24. Hey, don't have to worry too much. At least they are pecking on your LRs and not just lying somewhere. Try soaking your brine shrimps or mysis with garlic juice before feeding. It might help. Live brine shrimps is something few fishes can resist too. On the other hand, you can try Henry's food too.... One thing to avoid if flooding your whole tank with food and hope they'll eat. What i do with new fishes is put them in a betta box and make sure they feed before releasing them into the display tank. Good luck.
