  1. i have a 2ft deep tank 2 x 150w mh... no cooling fans, no chiller but still maintain 28deg... btw, i my lights are on at night when my aircon is on and i am around to enjoy the view....
  2. i use a high stool and bend down to reach in my 2ft deep tank, but to that point water level is almost to my shoulder... vor 2.5ft, i suggets deep sand bed of 6 inches so u could attain a depth of 2 ft
  3. as experienced, salifert works best for me with accuracy
  4. they are great escape artists... make sure u seal up ur tank well....
  5. u dont really have to buy just to have it.. liverocks comes w lots of 'stowaways' with it when u buy it.... i even got sea squirts attached when i got my clam and another in a rock full of mushies....
  6. cant really see, the pic is too blur... trying to focus on it but it makes me blur
  7. nobody else bidding... bro, im the highest bidder.... sold to me for $350?
  8. this is a nice piece... well, anybody dont want to name a price? shall we start bidding???? ...start the bid --> $350!!!!!
  9. yup, three-sided; made it as a partition between my bed and computer workstation.... agree with pornstar, the bigger the better... besides, the bigger the water volume, the more stable and if ls dies in the tank chances of affecting the water quality is minimal....
  10. not really that much... maybe just a few hundreds... but when it comes to filling it up w corals/livestocks, definitely yes ... am keeping my 4x2x2 and its hard to fill up coz mine is three sided
  11. agree w u corals, its ver y nice creature..... i did bought 1 a few months ago from pasir ris farm, but didn't made (RIP) ...good luck bro!!!!
  12. think its a bigger investment.... i recently changed from 4x1.5x1.5 to 4x2x2 and cost me; at least 5 bags of sand as compared to 3 bags previously; 3 bags of salt which is double the size; liverocks, more liverocks; stronger pumps and/or more powerheads for better current; and lastly, more water volume and electricity consumption due to more lighting requirements and more pumps/powerheads... conclusion: go for the bigger tank; its worth all the expense ....no regrets for me.....
  13. lol i'd say my choice is liv tyler
  14. aside from which the uncle gives great discounts, sometimes no need to ask for it... i got a frag of healthy acro, ard a fist size for just $10 from $30
  15. as wat i know is leathers cant mix with sps...... chemical warfare
  16. yeah!!!!! dante's trilogy is not a bad idea either....
  17. try t** at seletar, last tuesday there was a few left and also selling $10-$12
  18. heard from a fellow reefer who dives that sun corals thrive in shady crevices, and upside down.... think not much light is needed although i have mine straight under my mh but right infront of the current so it's thriving well.
  19. i got mine from lck1**, selling 4 $12 then discounted to $10..... harl**** got nice specimens when i went there last saturday, but for $20!!!!
  20. well as long as she's not ###### and my friends are cool about it.....
  21. got pic of ur skimmer? what's the flow rate of pump? interested if it can skim a 3ft tank
  22. bro, no offense but i think next time u better have knowledge of what u r buying even before u make the purchase.... good research makes a better reefer than "buy now wonder and ponder later" attitude.... it's a plankton feeding sea fan, pretty red branches with blue polyps always reaching out to catch food.... it doesnt need strong lights and prefers fast moving currents....
