  1. selling price is $10/kg... but ask for a discount, they'd usually give esp if u r buying quite a sum... sorry, cant disclose how much i bought, dont want to spoil their biz
  2. my brazilian gramma is living peacefully in my community tank, not causing ay trouble at all, unlike the dottyback/basslet i had --> u can never trust them w shrimps
  3. bro wat's this Project Aware? Is it the reef planting at tioman? Remember a friend from kl and she was asking me to take diving right away so i can join her in some sort of project like this.... too bad i was really bz at work, thinking that we were supposed to take owd together and now she's certified while im still 'snorkellng level'
  4. hey, u got it wrong.. what im talking abt is an air driven skimmer and dual air pump, not a venturi type.....used it from my first thank and now keeping it for i dont even know why... hehehe
  5. i can wait that long.....maybe sav up more money for the trip while waiting.. but bangkok???? hehehe... wanna go w my gf end of this month? hehehe..... well, since the advanced divers r going for an escapade up thailand, maybe we join them going there but will be separated between dives and courses
  6. sorry, can't really remember.... bought it a year ago
  7. hey but its quite cute how my brazilian grazes in and ard liverocks, very curious little fellow.... and when feeding or even 'yawning', damn big mouth... hehehe... used to have a dottyback, but after having my anemone shrimp for a hefty meal, didnt like it afterwards....
  8. i suggest u save ur money and buy venturi type..... if budget is a constraint just get a weipro skimmer.... in fact, considering the hussle of buying and changing airstone from time to time is not worth it, u'd rather buy a better one... if u still insist, i got a used one, sell u $20 bucks inclusive of air pump
  9. sis, another reefer, supremo, asked me to go ard 3rd week of october, but during that week have to take lectures and pool dives at outram swimming pool.... then head off to tioman over the weekend.... definitely he'll be bringing his wife to dive as well.... maybe can ask bwilly to 'piggyback' again n bring wife along.. the more the merrier.... if the sched for this month is too tight, its either we have to patiently wait til monsoon is over or we go further up --> thailand
  10. brazilian gramma is cheaper... i got mine for $22 a month ago...not really sure about carribean but heard its ard $25 up.... just to show u n try to compare the differnce, here's a dottyback
  11. physically, dottybacks/basslets dont have the 'eyelashes' grammas have.... also, the blending of body color of dottybacks are well pronounced while grammas blend with gradience.... and of course the price
  12. sl, pr and re***n u can visit in one shot.... alight at boon keng mrt towards lavender/serangoon rd junction, on ur left going towards lavender is re***n and on the right towards balestier is pr.... 2 bus stops away fr pr is sl.... t9* alight at yio chu kang mrt, take bus 86, alight at first bus stop at jalan kayu, then its at least 10mins walk in.... cf....... cf....... cf........cab and ask the driver to wait 4 u.....
  13. that's not the gramma... its the normal basslet.....
  14. but the brazilian likes to play soccer....
  15. ok... yesterday, went to sl and bought a few lrs.... it looks quite good and rich red in colors, in different shapes n forms, from indonesia... if u know the tan, u might get a good discount
  16. triggerfish, i want!!!! but im just gonna start open water dive... which part are you going anyway?
  17. top is brazilian, bottom is carribiean.....
  18. then triggerfish, with respect to you and your much borader knowledge and experience amongst us, join us and guide us
  19. heheheh..... well it would be fun if we could go open water as a big group.... flubberina, the reefer im talking about is supremo, maybe you would want to inquire w him as well, coz definitely his wife is diving as well if we go...
  20. errr.... check if ur water quality is reef ready... hehehe... aside from which, make long term plan as what you want to keep, softies? lps? sps? mixed? id rather sit and read, make researches and find out what i want and its compatibilities and ease of care than go to lfs pick out whatever i find nice and later regret.....
