  1. Hi all, sorry to hijack this thread. I'd like to know where to get these geckos from? I'm not after exotics though, normal, ordinary types would do. Thanks.
  2. Hi, I've been delaying this for far too long. My current tank stand is badly rusted. As a precaution, I intend to change the stand within these few months. I am looking for a wooden tank stand to accomodate a 2ft tank. If you have recommendations for a stand/tank maker do reply too! Thanks.
  3. Hi all, Am looking for large sized hermit crabs. Don't mind smaller ones too. I missed the shipment at Henry's when he had the large hermit crabs, so just want to check if anyone is letting go. Thanks
  4. Hi, Am looking for a 2ft wooden stand, as my current stand, one of those black-painted steet stand is rusting away. I'm afraid it will not be able to support the load in due time. I have been using anti-rust chemicals for the past few months. Would appreciate reccomendations of shops where I can order it too. Thanks.
  5. I can't recall the name of the coral food manufactured by salifert. But I do recall the sinstructions stating that refrigeration is not a requirement.
  6. A tip is to find a spot where the rock is in contact with it's gland/foot. A slight potrusion in a nook and cranny will be ideal, as it will stabilise the clam, and makes it difficult to shift out of position. From my observation, it tends to move at the initial placement. But once the lighting is optimum and sufficient, it'll stop moving. At this point, you will probably be able to see the clam's gland attaching itself to the rocks.
  7. Coral currently reserved for bro tansk, followed by bro clownfish88 if buyer backs out. Thanks.
  8. Hi all, I would like to sell this pearl bubble for $25. It has grown too big, and is stinging all the other coral frags around it. Please PM me. For size approximation of the bubble, the clownfish in the pic is about 1.5in. I may have posted this before, but I can't seem to retrieve the old post. Thanks.
  9. Hi folks, Would like to sell this pearl bubble. It's grown too big for my tank, and would like to sell for $25. Will seriously consider trading for any coral frags or fishes/inverts. Do drop me a PM if you have any queries. Thanks. As a rough guide, the common clown fish is abt 1.5 inch.
  10. Bro, PM you. Please get back to me. Thanks!
  11. Qwank, nice tank you have. I'm also in the nano club albeit a little bigger than yours . IMOH, 32 degC may pose a threat and I presume that as it is, your rate of evaporation is rather high. Perhaps getting a small chiller would be reliable and safer. My fan broke down a few months back and I was fortunate that the tempreature did not exceed 30 degC. Inspecting the fan, I found bits of crystalised salt in the motor compartment, and the interior was also damp. As for skimmer, do you think a small unit such as a Sanders would suffice? It may be a little low tech, but a nano tank does not require superior skimming if the livestock is kept in check + routine water change.
  12. Mr Chew, Great Cheato. Appreciate the gesture. Thanks for the tips too.
  13. Hi Fellow reefers, I'm looking for a frogspawn frag, do PM me if you have one for sale. Thanks, DREW
  14. Thanks for some of the offers. Anymore offers? It's hard to shop for a 2ft tank, as I'm looking into variety with small frags.
  15. Hi all, Would like to buy off LPS such as Frogspawn, Octo, Torch or hammer. Small pieces and/or frags would be great. Starting on a makeover for my tank. Kindly PM me your offers. Much appreciated, DREW
  16. Bro Creetin, Guranteed reef safe. They make great community fishes as they tend to shoal around, inducing shy fishes to do so too. IMOH, I think small sized chromis are cute to look at, but they tend to be an eyesore if they grow fat and big, especially in a smaller tank such as my 2ft.
  17. Upz. Pistol shrimp is now isolated, anyone interested? Pump is not in use as it is too strong for my tank.
  18. Hi all, Wish to sell a pistol shrimp- 2.5in long. Grey with a slight blue hue on the body and green marking on head- $10 Dymax GPH 3000 pump, 3000 l/h, 50W- $15. Please text me at 98184275 to make arrangements.
  19. Just an update- I have been using T5 HO and a fan for my tank. I have been testing different SPS frags for close to 6 months, to see if they can survive under such conditions. I concluded that of all the SPS frags which are easily available, monti frags (especially the plating type) are able to survive under such conditions and propogate Without high light output, corals in my tank start to stn from the base up. This is so, as the corals grows it makes it difficult for light to penetrate to the base. Despite placing these frags close to the light, it does little to alleviate the situation. With regards to running activated carbon, I have been using Aquapharm Pur II, and I must say that among their product range, this by far is one of their best. It is really difficult to keep SPS in a nano without chiller and high light output. Water flow wise, I believe it is sufficient in my tank. I have 3 outputs- 2x Seio M620, 1 x return flow from pump for a 2x1x1.5 ft tank size. Also I'd like to take this opportunity to check if any fellow reefers have plating monti frags to spare? Any input is much appreciated. Thanks, DREW
  20. Bro Jervis, pls post pics while you're dosing Joe's Juice. I'm really curious on the effects- as I'm wondering if it is instantaneous. A video would be spectacular! Thanks
  21. Hi, I'm keeping a 2ft tank, and have been keeping Montipora frags. Am looking into stocking more pieces of frags as, my current monti frags are still small. Looking for abt 2-3" size. Thanks.
  22. Would like to know the light requirements for common macroalgae for use in refugium. Is sunlight sufficient? The lights for my tank are off throughout the day, and the afternoon sun illuminates my refugium for a good 4- 6 hours. Will macroalage be able to thrive under such a setting? Please advise. Thanks.
