zzz ok I got 3 hermit crabs 2 from hawaii and the other one i dunnoe from where. they go on my LRs, then start plucking things from it to eat. I dunnoe if it is coralline algae but if it is, how do i increase the amt of purple coralling algae? If it is not, how do i increase the amt of purple coralling algae anyways

basically when u first start off sump tanks are not really required. As u start getting more fishes than ur bioload canhandle, u can build a sump tank and include sand, bio rings, filters and everything in it. It helps cultivate more bacteria due to the contents in thetank and also cleans ur water of dirt

UGFs are lame. Initially i wanted to use it ... then i went to buy 2 3" ones so i can use. Total waste of my $$$ it was. I have discarded it since.

I emphasize on the word HATCH. they they go into my bio filter of biomat-biorings-chemipure some go in sand. 2 more days i see they die ... somehow when they hatched they looked like seamonkeys ...
