  1. Commonly named Majano anemone ... a pesky one that will grow(as fast as Aiptasia) and moves around very quickly ... usually towards lights !! They do come in all sorts of colours but nothing more than annoying thing and will sting your corals...so get going and move it away from your main tank or put them in your sump. HTH, Paul
  2. Mix some Kalk paste and apply it to the Aiptasia or grab the whole rock (if it's the one that's infested) and nuke 'em in your microwave!!! HTH, Paul
  3. Please sign this Petition!! Here is a quote from one of the horse forums, "The seahorses (H. Kuda) and wildlife in the Pulai river estuary (Johor, Malaysia) near Singapore need our help guys!, if this land is developed it will be poisoned and destroyed forever. The seagrass beds, seahorses and the Dugong population will vanish. At least 5000 signatures are needed and if you have time please add a comment!. They plan to clear 2,255 acres of mangrove for Petrochemical and Maritime industries polluting the land with industrial gases, paints, varnishes, petrol refinery etc. You have to read further on the website.. Help to save the fate of these animals ~ http://www.thepetitionsite.com/2/help-save-the-seahorse Thank You All. Paul
  4. There's NO boundaries be it Age, Marital status when it comes to Absolute Reefing...IMHO! You'd be surprised to learn new stuffs from the Young reefers....ReefGeeks are All One Close knit community!! Paul
  5. Just so you know ... ReefRoids are not meant for feeding Clams ..... usually for Mushrooms, Goni's. Paul
  6. It'll take awhile for the Sun Coral to fully extend ... it took about a week or so before mine fully opened. Try not to move it around too much (for now...) and once it's acclimatised they'll start to 'pop' out . That's when you start feeding each polyps meaty foods like Mysis shrimp, fresh shrimp, squid but make sure your skimmer is able to skimmed all the excess nutrients!! BTW... why not post a pic or two of your Sun Coral... Paul
  7. The hardiest of all Goni's are the Red specimen ..... other than that they're as Good as being left alone...JMHO. Paul
  8. Anyways here are some recent shots of my Fu ManChu lionfish.... He would gladly "take" food from my hands be it Krill, chopped up Sand Eel or Live Ghost shrimps. Yupper....hand fed dwarf lionfish!! Paul
  9. Your tank has to be at least a Year old and try adding a Refugium (initial set-up) with Caulerpa macro algae (better if you can get some from local reefer's sump/fuge as they're always filled with 'Pods) and by then your DT, Sump and Refugium should have more than enough Copepods to feed the Mandarin. Feeding the Mandarins live, dried or frozen foods doesn't guarantee that it'll feed on it. It's a Hit 'N Miss!! HTH, Paul
  10. Looks very similar to Cyphastrea...IMHO. Paul
  11. Dang .... that's a Nice piece and how big is it? Paul
  12. The ideal tool to frag is a Dremel with a Diamond cutter. Not too sure if it's available in Singapore... Paul
  13. Do you guys ever have success fragging Blastos? And I find the Wellsi species are more Hardy and easy to propagate too. BTW... nice Blasto garden and Close Up shots! Thanks.
  14. Hey LoReNsIa, I'm from Canada and we do get a lot of nice variations of different Blastos and sometimes we do get some which are way better than the ones being imported to the U.S. market...IMHO. Paul
  15. We do get a lot of Blue Blastos lately .... .it's kinda like the fad right now!! Any pictures from you guys? Anyone...
