  1. Hey, i was there~ called ur hp 96688656 many times, but kept directing over to voicemail. when's the last time u re-booted ur hp? while i told u what i'll be wearing, u didn't tell me how you'd look like, and i didn't wanna just approach anyone and ask "are u andylee?".
  2. go market buy la, 1 kilo few dollars only, Stir fry with chilli = very nice to eat...
  3. How much was the initial starting-bid price for this pink cube last time?
  4. Wat's this? U selling? Giving away? Showing off?
  5. Hey i got half a bottle of cyclopeeze (dried) to spare. I can meet u at Bedok MRT after work tomolo. how about 7 pm at the controls?
  6. Duhzz... in a way, u are telling everyone here that u are very close to one of the LFS lor... who knows, next thing there will be one old-bird saying "my friend opens a lfs, and i got my black cap for free..." . That would really defeats the purpose when the question in concern is "Wat is the market-rate", NOT "wat is the insider-rate". No offense, I m just being blunt and straight.
  7. I can see them. Try clicking the URLs from his 2nd post.
  8. Saw Ah Beng selling these black ocellaris @ $45 each; was there on Wed (National Day). These used to sell for very high prices, but after a season of commercial breeding, supplies of these went up, thus the price came down...
  9. Had to agree with you. Dun understand why some of the old birds here attempt to ruin ppl's sales thread, then brag abt how many kinds of Tangs they have kept b4 and such, and that they have SO much experience in Tangs. $60 for a pair = $30 per fish. Its reasonable price to pay for a healthy and feeding one. Its between the buyer who is WILLING to pay the price and to compensate the seller for the time and care to have kept the fishes in healthy condition. So what is wrong with this premium pricing? Willing buyer, willing seller. Why dun you ppl go tell LEVIS STRAUSS that the mkt price of denim is so cheap that u can get a pair of denim jeans from Hangten at $10, rather than from Levi's at $100 + ? Its denim anyways! Branding you say? Workmenship you say? Then these BTs are andtsg's brand and andtsg's care (workmenship). If you ppl find it expensive and cannot AFFORD it, pls go elsewhere.
  10. No need to talk too much into the sciences and chemistry aspects of the evaporated water from aircon units. practically speaking... 1) how much water can you collect from the aircon every nite? 2) versus how much tank water do you change everytime? 3) then how long do you need to collect this amount of water from the aircon? weeks? months? its not practical.
  11. Anyone care to share tips on how u induce ur clowns to settle into an anemone or leather or elephant ear? (by settle down: I mean live in harmony with, wriggles happily on it). Both my clowns (1 True, 1 Sabae) pays no attention to my elephant ear ( which I bought as a surrogate anemone ). I refrain from anemones becuz of the known time-bomb threat, and I know there are substitutes like elephant ears. Before I bought this elephant ear from the LFS, I personally seen clowns wriggling happily on it, thats why I bought it (as a toy for my clowns). Any inputs appreciated.
  12. hmmm, impressive cynarina u 've got~ Bumps for you~ Qns 1: wonder if my T5 NO lights is sufficient for cynarina if I place it high up? Qns 2: will it sting corals? Qns3: will bubble corals sting cynarina? I intent to place it beside.
  13. Well, at least ur starfish fared better.... still has 3 legs.... TntR2 's starfish only left 2 legs
  14. Its around the seletar west farmway area.... as usual, i know how to go, but dunno exactly how to tell..
  15. Hi VBF, welcome to this hobby, (Other reefers, correct me if I m wrong) Since you intended to use the bottom tank as a sump tank, you do not need the canister filter. A compartment in ur sump tank can be designed to take the role of the canister filter already. check out some of the reefer's personal tank threads on how and what they put in their sumps, you will get a better idea. Regarding tank thickness, dun worry much since the length of your tank is not that long, so the pressure at the centre of the length wun be sufficient to rupture it. Of course, be gentle when handling rocks. Since you are cycling your waters with liverocks now, and have added bacteria culture to speed up the process, thats good enuf already. Do not add mkt prawns in to rot later, you either add in now, or dun at all. adding in at a later stage to rot will only slow the cycling down. Chiller-wise, if you dun intend to install one, just get a fan to bring down the temperature. A fan will be sufficient for your tank size to keep temperatures between 27-29 degree celsius. You can still have corals. As a starter, just stick to the lower-level corals like mushrooms, zoanthids, sun corals, star polyps. yep, sis monki is right, Singapore weather beri hot. You can consider chiller at a later stage ya? For the time being, just focus on cycling ur waters and testing them with test-kits. One point to note for using fan is that you just have to top up little amt of water daily to counter for the evaporation rate. Lastly, lights. If possible, T5HO at minimum, if u wanna keep better corals. of course, if budget is a constraint, then a grade lower like T5NO should not pose much of a problem for certain more hardy and les light-demanding corals.
  16. I consider myself relatively new on thie hobby, but seafan and suncorals are wat i found to be the most easiest of all. i only target feed on sun corals once a week. seafan i dun even bother and its growing by itself. I dun have the strong enuf lightings for clams, so i dun touch clams. SeaApple is like anemone... time bomb. haven seen sea squirt around b4...
  17. very nice coloration. almost look like alantic blue tang. upz
  18. Finally got my bubbles! 1 week already... got it the very next day i received the progress package... kekeke Its white with faints of luminous yellow. Looks very nice under actinic but i can't draw out the actual appearance of it with my lousy dc... this is about 3 inches length. (under blue lights...)
  19. omg somebody... i think I have to "ping" you... u are lagging big time...
  20. ur constant changing of liverocks caused the whole problem. U took out the big piece and add in another 3 piece, such action basically brings you back to square one. your tank was not properly cycled, hence caused the death of the fishes.
  21. if it is velvet, there will be a faint layer of whitish tissue covering the fish's body. it its ich then, white spots. i got no experience with clownfish disease. i suggest u dun use chemicals to treat the clown. take it out for a 5 mins fresh water dip (or super low SG dip like 0.009), and take notice if anything falls off the clown's body. it should relieve the fish a little. Hyposalinity is the best method. if you really wanna go the chemical way, use copper with moderation.
  22. sorry to dilute this thread, but i think what he is trying to mean is : "If you pay peanuts/bananas, you get monkeys" its used to describe situations where you get what you pay for. If u pay little (bananas/peanuts), you get equivalent value's worth (monkeys). if u pay a person low salary (He paid me peanuts!), you get rubbish work. Monkeys dun give you bananas when you pay them (with wat?), it dun make sense.
  23. Can you frag a piece for me? Does it require strong lights?
