Hi, need to get some kind of plankton food ASAP to feed my anemone crab which hasn't been fed for about 5 days. Can anyone recommend a kind of plankton that would be stocked by shops in the central area (ie. lavendar, etc) or around the west? Pasir Ris is too far.

For the first set, how many watts can the ballast power?

I've started a new tank (same size) and am cycling live rock now. The water smells bad, there are lots of surface bubbles, there is white fungus, and the water is cloudy! I didn't have this problem with the first tank, probaby because the rock was already pretty much cured when I started it. This time I got the rock from Pasir Ris and the auntie said it just arrived a few days ago. Should I change the water until it clears up, or just leave it? Right now I can see tubeworms emerging from their tubes and they all look like they're going to die. Bristleworms are no longer hiding either and just hanging out on the surface of the rock. I think it looks quite bad.

How much is DT phytoplankton anyway? Is it one of those $50 a bottle items?

Another update. Current tank as of 16 April. The goniopora opens early in the morning and then closes in the afternoon. Maybe it's because the water at the top is getting warmer. Star polyps have not opened at all since I got them 2 days ago. Are they supposed to be difficult to keep? Porcelain crab keeps hiding under rocks because there's no anemone for him. Common short-tentacled zoanthids. I have 2 kinds of brittle stars in my tank. Grey/black striped types that don't move at all, and these very active 1 cm diameter white ones which keep moving around the rocks actively. This 1 cm big crab was a hitchiker on the live rock and I can't remove him now. At least he's still too small to cause much damage. I have 2 of these in my tank and they're very active. What species of snails are they?
