recently hav bought a hammer head coral and the same thing happened.part of it starts to die off and its spreading .the 1st few days still ok,until saw a snail on top of it.try to remove the snail and found tat its already started to rot.is it because of the snail tat eats the coral or its feeding only after its dead.anyone care to comment??????

for live mysis,think can try scoping them with net just under bedok jetty in the evening used to catch them when was a boy.

hi helldust,can i say that even with a hole drilled at 2, there is still certain level of noise?pls advice.

try cover the top hole (the one for siphonic effect) then use water pump to push water from bottom hole(the one for out put)after when u see a little or no bubbles at all from pipe in main tank(the one that surpose to draw water) at these point,release the pump and water will start flowing.remember to remove the top cap immediately after u release the pump.i tried mine and the flow is superb!btw if everything works fine ,can update me the noise level?.....cheers

does that mean no need to buy or obtain sea water as i starting a new tank.just purify tap water then mix with marine salt?........pls advice

i think helldust got the picture. the inner pipe bottom is sealed infact u can see the bottom covered with a cap ....wanted to provide u guys with more details but my pc knowledge u know la.... base suction will be strong as the inner pipe is lower than the tank water level thus water between both pipes will always rush up to maintain tank water level but before it could do so (remember inner pipe lower than tank water level)it rushes into inner pipe and getting the draw out pipe to do the siphon process....got it?
