How about dosing with the Hair Algae Killer solution that is sold in some LFS? Will that affect the water condition drastically?

Thanks Jervismun. Currently running a 2ft X 1.5ft X 2ft tank. Sump is only 18" X 14" X 15". Have a space constrain on the height of the eq. to be put in the sump cos my cabinet is kinda short (~20"). Work around is to get eq. that can be place out of sump but need to do some DIY. What skimmer would you recommend? Budget say ard 400 to 500 max.... wallet will go on strike after this buy.....

Will check out the power consumption and let u know but I think its should be less than 150W. Running time is about the same as yours but i set it at 27.5 for now cos not much corals yet.

Just checked out the pricing on Ablerex UPS. Basic Ablerex 500 model going for $61 and more advanced 625L model going for $99. Both are meant for home users. Can get from Cybermind at funan.
