  1. Hi, I am looking for a Red Sea Prizm Skimmer for my small tank. Willing to swop with glass curve tank (20" Wx 12"H 12"D), live sand enough to cover base and Atman II professional canister filter.
  2. I would like to have it if Ah Fat back out. Just let me know and I can pick it up from your place - no problem
  3. Have a very healthy blue velvet damsel, paraglyphidodon oxyodon. It eats practically anything. It is now 2 inches long, the max it can grow and a bit too big for my 2 ft tank. Any zoo will do.

    Fishes wanted

I have one damsel which is about 7 cm. Interested?
  5. Nice, but nothing to trade with you.
  6. Hi, you gonna hear alot from the 'experts'. Sometimes, the advice are just one's preference not necessary the ultimate must do. My few months into marine tank teach me to observe and read more of what others have to say. Not everything is a must but certain things are good to have. If you have a basic system, it does work just that you need to spend a bit more time maintaining the tank. Yours is a 2 ft tank, if you keep it simple, you don't need all the skimmer, wave pump, sump, etc. Of course if you want to have big fishes, coral, anemone, etc, you need more equipment to sustain the environment.
  7. Hi, I have under gravel filter too but removed them within the 1st week on advice by friends here. Suggest you do the same fast.
  8. Keep that photo coming, I am sure it is going to be great one day.
  9. I am intending to use a 200 gal/hr pump to pump water thro' my weipro 2012 skimmer. The out put to the external canister filter and then back into the to surface of the tank using an elbow. How does the above sound? would the 200 gal/hr pump be able to push thro the skimmer and the filter?
  10. Hmmmm, from your description, my anemone seem to meet expectation (75 marks) so I guess he is OK. Oh yest this is a BTA. The corals was purchased in this condition, yet to open fully. It is the 3rd day with me and I do see slight improvement over the first day (overcome the initial shock due to the transfer?). Intend to do some water change this weekend and hope the water condition can improve and thus the zoo would fair better. A quick check, maybe some mechanical engineer can advise. If I have two pumps linked series together, would it damage the slower pump? That is, if I have a 800 /hr flow rate pump pushing water thro' a 400 l/hr pump. Would the result flow be better or the 400 l/hr pump burn out? Should I just disconnect the smaller pump? Regards
  11. Hi, thanks for the feedback and advice. I am monitoring it very closely because it is sitting right in the middle of my living hall and I just need to walk past it. hahaha BTW, how do you know if the green bubble tip anemone is dying? Mine is light green and has clear tube with bubble tips. I guess that is why they got their name? No intention to add anymore fishes if not reduce. May add corals or mushrooms.
  12. hongqixian, why would overflow system give lots of heat leh? I guide the water return with an elbow to create flow on the surface thus no splashing. Whilst the bubble I can eliminate them but thaught a little is good? Would you think the cannister filter system is a better option? I was told this overhead filter is very effective in keeping the water clear. So far this is very true for my case. I did have a skimmer but took it out because it took too much space in the tank due to the pump. Decided I am ok with changing water more frequently. The anemone is with me for more than a month and it is doing fine and eating damn well. Honestly, I think it is very hardy because I have shifted him around to accommodate the new corals. Same goes to the mushroom. I ust got the corals over the weekend and they are in this condition when I bought them from a pal here. He kept them in chilled water temp. My room temp is fairly constant and well ventilated. I am expecting the water temp should not exceed 30. Most tropical reef water should be in that temp range right? Yes please continue with advice while I update you guys.
  13. Camera not the best too, but just want to show another angle and the Zoo in there.
  14. Hi, after 3 months and many helps from bros here, I am putting up my very basic tank for comments. Hope I will continue to love this hobby and over time improve on it. My purpose is to show those undecided on SW tank that you don't have to spend a fortune to start one if your expectations are not beyond what you see here. However, the opportunity to be one of the best of its kind is unlimited. It just need more time. Of course the fastest way is to engage a pro to do a set up for you. You won't get the joy and really understand what SW tank is all about.
  15. Hi, just got some corals from bros here. Need to clear my live rock (a small pail) maybe 4 kg? FOC, collection west side by tomorrow. sms at 93625148 . Otherwise into the bin. 1st come 1st serve.
