Can you guys change the damm picture to fish rather than some "pretty sweet young thing". It looks llike a ###### site when people walk pass. And also save the money for a chiiler and get the cheapest MH. You can change the bulb. I spent less than $200 (with 6500K) and you should as well. I am just trying to make you guys save money so you can buy a chiller. Your temp will rise another 2 degree.

SUmp is basically an additional tank that adds volume to your main tank. THat means instead of a fix water in your tank, you have additional waters at the bottom. More water, your tank is more stable. IF you have a 150L of water in your tank and you urine on it, your fish can smell it. If you have a 150L of sump that makes your total volume to 300L. Now if you Urine on it, your fish may think it is your sweat. You can have a 300L of sump or your entire living room be a sump and when you Urine on your main tank, you fish won't know a thing. Temp will be stable as well. Since it is a sump, you can do anything you want. YOu can add compartment to have your filte there, grow mangrove, sea weed, put skimmer there, chnage your water , or even swim there ( If you have a living room sump). So that means you design your sump base on your needs not others needs. There are many school of thought on what is should be. SOme put Deep sand bed and weeds to clear the Nitrate while others simple make it to an swimmong pool to collect revenue because the entry fee is damm expensive! What ever you decide, it is YOUR CHOICE. Just don't make it to a SPA! Get it SPA !!!HA HA HA. Go read !!!! and don't be lazy because you will ask what is an overflow and how to do it. And becasue you are LAZY I know at the end you will not do a sump.

But well i did not put it on the tank. I hang it on the celing. You don't "hold it in your hands do you? Some people say it is warmer and use more electricity and in the long run waste money. Well, what is long run? MH is getting cheaper every day and who knows some reseach paper may say 10001K is the BEST and it star all over again. SO GUYS, get the cheapest MH lamps, it is worth the money. You SHOULD NOT SPENT MORE THAN $200! DOn't ask me where to buy. OPEN THE DAMN YELLOW PAGES and look! Don't buy from LFS. It is OK if the temp raises up slowly which is going to be the case. Doesn't matter. So that means if yours is 32 and you put ice to drop it to 24 suddenly. There is a good chance they will be stress and die. Good chance does not mean sure die.. Anyone dares to challeng my cliam? SS

B4 you go for this cheap tank. Please know what type you want first. The L and B and Height and also the thickness of the tank. The different prices at only a few dollars when you see twice the price different for the same size, it could be the thickenss. Cheapest tank is a goldfish tank.

Oh, if it is not producing after a few days of having lots of smelly stuff, it means your water is good. Even AquaC will stop producing if your water quality is good. Try loading more fish and food and see if your skimmer works again or not.

I use this skimmer with a 3 feet tank. It is working OK for me. Good. I would recommend it unless you can afort a AquaC. Only problem is when you over tighten the screw. May crack the case.
