thanks for all the advise! i cleared off some dust form the front of the chiller (where the grill is) and the temperature is now at 26, silghtly better, but still not as low as i would like it. i have not changed the fan before, but i did move it from one house to another which could have bumper it around abit in the process! hopefully all it needs is a clean up! i'll give derrick a call tmr, dont want to disturb his weekend....

im using a resun cl450. and lately its been really noisy (sounds like a motocycle... ok.. not as bad... but u get the idea) further more, the temperate it measures of my water seems to be always 27, 28 degree Celcius. when before it would regularly be able to bring the temp down to 25 (my set temp) and turn it set off for a while.. now i have not noticed the water temp drop down to below 27 in a week! the tank water still feel cold. but i think my chiller isgetting wonky. HELP! what do i do?

my old eel was fearless. i was scared to try to hand feed.... cuz he will just whack anything near the food!

i feed mine those dried prawns. you must target feed. i've read that people hand feed them but i wouldnt suggest it.... mine was pretty blind and he normally just whacked whatever thats near the shrimp. so i used the feeding stick-thingy. my eel ate anything... i even saw it attack and gobble up my spotted sweet lips. thats y i gave mine away! it may take the eel a few days to adjust to your tank b4 it starts eating. but they r pretty hardy! good luck with ur snowflake!

i like the patterns! but dont think i can keep it if it grows to several feet... i read that they only eat at night... any one had success with this fish?

i see AM stock te flame angels regularly. maybe you can try there if ur interested.

where is t95? fish shop isit? i live near jalan kayu also, but then only seem to have one shop near that area which is AM.

mine took a week to open. :) at first i also thought it was dead, but then i had them movedfrom bottom of the tank to the top. and they opened within the next few hours!

any one ehre have success with keeping the spotted sweetlips? i'm very itnerested in keeping one and would like to learn from anyone with experience! any help would be appreciated.

Hey there, need some help with lighting. what the diff between High output (HO) and Normal Output (NO)? and is it better to get MH than use T5s? (im running a 5 ft tank) thanks, any advise is greatly appreciated.

My friend passed me this eel along with most of his setup, so not sure of this eel's birthplace/shop. lol last time i offered to give it to this shop in balestier, but they weren't interested. as im pretty new to the sg reefing scene, i assumed that most LFS didnt take back fish from us reefers. maybe i'll go down to AM today and see if they want it.

i wld give him away for free lah. but i feel maybe a token sum of $1 will make him seem more valuable.. or else he'll become that "free-fish-which-dont-need-to-care-so-much-abt" he so poor thing, cuz he is in my sump now... think he would rather be in a bigger tank. $1!!!! laylong! laylong! $1!!!!

i got my foxface about a month ago. i noticed a grey spot on its body that is growing bigger and bigger. like a patch of grey now. anyone know what this is and how to solve it?
